Fun and challenging. We both have ADHD, so if an exercise activity can be mentally engaging, it will get done a lot more often. I like that this board comes with a little booklet with suggestions on activities for each difficulty level. I got the marble to the middle while balancing on it the first day, but still haven’t managed to do it without touching the edges of the board to the mat. (You have to buy your own mat.) My wife, who is usually better at these kinds of things, still hasn’t gotten the marble to the middle while balancing. She did get it to the middle while grasping the board in a push-up stance though.

From the moment my 12 year old grandson opened the box, he loved this board! He left it out in the family room and is on it several times a day. It is difficult but he is intrigued. He is not known to stay with some things that are difficult, but he loves this. His parents brought him to visit me, and they could not stay off of the board, either. The whole family really loved this board! It is also very good quality. the wood is smooth and beautiful. There are no splinters and it is well crafted. I actually will be buying this gift for several other family members who are between the ages of 11 and 17. They will ALL love this as a gift! I should say, I bought this originally because I am a psychologist with a background in child development! I like toys and activities that focus on brain learning, and mazes are usually excellent. I like that this toy can help kids focus on balance and orienting their bodies in space. This skill of becoming better at managing one's body is useful in sports as well as in other tasks such as general academics and spatial learning. For children with visual and motor challenges it can be very helpful. But the smile and enjoyment my grandson shows with this maze is worth the price! This toy has made me very popular as far as my grandson is concerned!

Right away, you feel it is engaging different muscles. While it is not for bulking muscles, balance is essential in everyday life. Several reviews mention kids, but this is even more helpful to adults who may have lost some needed balance over time. First, you can start holding on to a sturdy chair. Progress comes fairly quickly. Product doesn't disappoint. It would be a welcome gift to close family member or friend.

My family has spent some time trying to make the ball get through the maze. Definitely not an easy task. The board itself was a beautiful sturdy wood. Not enough grip to do with just socks, but barefoot is perfect! Great for 5 -10 year olds!

This was the hit of our grandson's birthday party! For adults and kids! I love how this is something that develops a skill as well as being fun! It takes a lot of practice and if weather is bad outside, kids can still do this inside (if they have plenty of room so they don't fall and hit something!).
