I really love this Exercise Balance Board!

So far this thing has been wonderful! After just a short time of usage, my balance is already better! I love the way it is constructed! The bottom and the top are made if this hard, durable, rubber with little give. The rest is plastic that seems quite durable and I hope it lasts a long time, and it looks like it is going to! It is actually fun to do! I started balancing for the length of a music video, and now I am up to the length of a tv show. It REALLY grips the floor! I am using a hard wood floor and it seems ideal! I purchased the larger size of these and I am glad I did. My younger son also enjoys it so I don't think you can wrong on the bigger size. I love the instructions it came with as well. Using it on one leg is an option, as well as using it for push ups. You can also stimulate skiing. I found this very affordable in comparison for the quality of the materials. I mean, this thing is SOLID! I do wish there were more color options, but frankly color doesn't really matter. I'm not going on TV with the thing and it's not really being used to add to the decor of the room. This is an exercise tool that you supply how adjustable it should be for yourself. It's not too heavy and I am really loving it. I keep it by the TV. One thing to note is that the bumps on the board REALLY massage your feet, to the point where it might feel uncomfortable. Wearing socks addresses this no problem. Also, give yourself some room to catch yourself from losing your balance! You might be taking some big steps at first! But WOW you build your balance really effectively if you give it a little consistent time!

This thing is great!

I thought this might be hard to stand/balance or hard to concentrate if using with a standing desk. I was wrong. It's so easy and natural. I am going to buy more of these! Makes standing fun and enjoyable. I mainly use it when I play video games, so I don't feel like such a lazy bones.

Just Right

I don't have the room for one of those big BOSU balance trainers, (and anyway I got tired of reinflating the BOSU ball I had years ago). I wanted something more compact, and that didn't have to be inflated. This product hit the spot. It's not nearly as wide as the big gym trainers, so you don't get a wide stance workout. But, it's wide enough that you can get a nice workout of your hips, knees, and ankles. You can do side to side, circular, and front to back exercises - just realize that with a 15degree tilt it really is more of a wobble trainer. That said, I found it was very useful as a basic stability trainer. Given the way it's made I can't imagine having any durability issues, unless I gain a few hundred more pounds. This is a nice, convenient workout accessory at a decent price, so I'm happy.

Could be better

I bought this to help with my overall fitness. I had never used a balance board before this purchase. The overall concept is good. However, the surface you place your feet on is extremely slippery. I would almost call it unsafe. For anyone unfamiliar with a piece of equipment, I think extreme caution should be taken when first attempting to use. I had read another review about the lack of grip. When I tried it for the first time I agreed. I slipped off and nearly fell on my butt. The bottom has a rubber texture. This should have also been used on top where your feet are placed. I ended up buying textured spray paint and this improved the grip. I've used it quite a bit. Adding the textured paint definitely helped. The board is creaking quite a bit now and I wonder about longevity. Time will tell. This item has potential to be really good. Fix the grip of where the feet are placed and the creaking that develops. This will most likely improve this product. I'd recommend it to anyone who's willing to add the spray texture, can put up with the creaking and approaches any gym equipment with caution and respect. Good luck.

My PT recommended this to strengthen my ankle and foot following surgery. I love it! It fits under my desk and allows me to stretch and work on my exercises while I work. My teens are also using it for core strength-building. The whole family is enjoying the benefits of it. It's sturdy and works great on carpet, hardwood floors, and tile. Very happy with the larger size as well.

Well-priced and well-made

I bought this for my son who plays hockey and my husband, a stroke victim, who struggles with balance. It is a little smaller than I would have liked but large enough for my husband's sized 10.5 shoes. I like that it has handles on the side. I plan to attach some exercise bands that we have once they are ready for that phase. The rounded bottom is a hard surface unlike the inflatable types of balance boards and it does tend to spin when you get on to it. I would recommend placing the wobble board near something to grab hold of until you are comfortable with it. Once you are used to it, it is a good tool to use to work on your balance and stability. We have not had it for long, but it seems well made and sturdy especially for the price. It has been a good addition to our exercise equipment.
