I will be brutally honest on this review. I initially had given it 4 stars for the overall rating, but I changed it to 5. Here is why... I initially was only going to order the smallest Chirp Wheel for deep tissue but ended up ordering all 3 sizes of the Chirp Wheel from Amazon. At first I was slightly disappointed. As I used the small size wheel first it was much sturdier than any foam roller and perfect for me. I also tried the other 2 larger sizes, but loved the smaller one the best of all 3. You can definitely tell there is a greater stretch and popping for the back with the products than your traditional roller as it targets specifically the vertebrae and muscles along your back and neck. Though at first I was comparing it to the relief of a chiropractic adjustment and there were not too many pops or release of the air pockets of gas along that area. The medium and larger wheel are great as well for a different range of stretching but due to weight training for years I had packed on some decent muscle size to my back. So I needed something firmer and just needed to get in deeper. The smallest one was just the right one. I started using it for about 3 minutes, twice a day and already now in 2 weeks each and every day I feel the muscles getting much more loose, the popping sounds (which I love the sounds, but love the relief even more) are much more. I just did not know how tense the muscles were. I was judging a book by it's cover. But I feel more relaxed and adjusted. I was actually pretty bummed that I felt that purchasing the other 2 wheel sizes was not worth it at least for me, but you know what they both ended up being perfect. Though I still use it from time to time, I was being selfish and thinking how this would benefit me. My mother who is 66 years of age is now using the medium size wheel, as the smallest is too strong for her and the biggest one doesnt give her the stretch she wants. As for the biggest wheel, my dad who is 70 years old loves it too. He has fractured his T3 and T4 vertebrae from a previous accident and has been in several serious car accidents in the past with a steel plate in his hip, shoulder, and right leg. This one is perfect for him and now we religiously use it 1 to 2 times a day. You can pretty much say it's a story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears but with Chirp Wheels. Wrapping this up what really was amazing was not only the product, but the company as well. A day before I made this purchase I was comparing and debating to pick up the product from the website gochirp.com or from Amazon (primarily from the shipping times with Amazon Prime I was leaning this direction). I did a mock up cart on the website, but went with Amazon with the purchase. About a week later I received an email from the Founder and CEO of Chirp, Tate. I thought it was a generic email that I had items in the cart from the website order that I mocked up, asking if there is anything they can do to answer questions regarding my pending order and offering a 15% discount code. So I replied to the email for fun since I already ordered the day before, but was surprised to get a response back. The CEO of Chirp Wheel and I were communicating via email and I might say a few hours response times between our conversation emails back and forth and not days. I informed him that I already placed the order through Amazon and it came in but was happy and also slightly disappointed regarding the purchase of all 3 wheels instead of the smaller one I was leaning for. Mr. Tate ended up sending me a few links for Youtube videos on how to do different and proper stretching using the wheels. Which I must say was very helpful for the different sized wheels. Just a simple reach out like this makes everything better to ensure that the CEO and the company Chirp, not only care about their products but also about their customers. I don’t typically write reviews, however I have been very impressed with this product. I heard about it through my brother who finally got relief from his slipped disc with the chirp wheel (after months of seeking chiropractic care, I might add). As a pediatric/special needs hygienist, I am constantly putting my body through a lot of stress and I too go to the chiropractor on a monthly basis. It feels so good to stretch out on these things and I love feeling my back pop (it took a couple days of rolling to get my back to pop as my muscles were so tight). The best benefit so far has been the relief of my sciatic nerve pain that I have had for the past 2 years since having my 3rd kid. I would have lower back pain down through my buttocks several times a week. I rolled out my lower back and then sat on top of the two smaller wheels and rocked back and forth. I was a different person in the morning! I have had these wheels for 2 months now and have only had about 2 minor flare ups, which for me is pretty life changing! Also, as a busy Mom I don’t have much time for myself at home. I can roll out on these wheels for less than 5 minutes and I get so much relief. It’s not something I force myself to do, rather it is something I look forward to doing as it feel so good! Definitely worth the money spent, especially since I have not been to the chiropractor since I have purchased this product. I took it to a girls camp weekend and to work to show people as I enjoy using these so much. Several different people of different shapes and sizes have used my wheels and they the chirp wheels have proven durable! (I just wish I could get commission off of the sales that were made afterwards 😂).

I got this for a pretty good discount on Father’s Day. I am a person with some pretty bad back problems. For me the wheels are very painful, so I find it hard to relax for the most effectiveness. However, they do work and relieve pain. Just last night I threw out my lower back somehow and was having difficulty walking, sitting, or standing. After stretching for 10 minutes I tried the biggest wheel to realign the spine where the issues were. The big wheel wasn’t effective, so I tried the 6” wheel, same thing. I then used the 4” wheel and after about 5 very cautious slow controlled minutes, I relaxed enough to get the 4” wheel to move the the vertebrae back into place with a great deal of pain. Today, my lower back hurts and is stiff, but at least I can walk and do everything as normal. Will just need to sit in a hot bath or something to relax the muscles and reduce soreness. I can attest that the product works. But just be cautious that it can be painful, especially if you have bulging/herniated discs and fractured vertebrae like I do. But it does help, it’s just not gentle.

I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy, and everything hurts all the time. I've always had back issues. I had mild scoliosis as a child which corrected itself with OT and chiropractic, and there is slight fusion in my spine just above the tailbone. Before my baby bump, I was able to coerce my husband and children to walk on my back so I could get relief as needed. Now, because I can't lie facedown, options are limited. In a fit of desperation, I ordered these one night, and I am SO glad I did. The first few times you use these, especially if you are stiff and not very flexible, definitely stick with the bigger wheel. I made this mistake and really tweaked my back the first time. Every subsequent use though got better and more productive as I learned how and when to relax certain areas of my back around the wheel. Now, I use these multiple times a day. I start with the large wheel and work my way down. The popping is satisfying, but real long-term relief comes from the stretch! I haven't had any luck with my neck, but I use the smallest wheel to really work my hip and tailbone when they're giving me trouble. After over a month of regular use, I'm sleeping better, my back hurts significantly less, and the improved range of motion in my spine is noticeable. I'm grateful I splurged and took the chance.

The quality is great, they’re not painful the way basic foam rollers are (which I bought/tried first), and the nesting of small into larger is great for storage and transportation. After I turned 31, naturally, I decided I needed to organize my garage. I purchased very light plastic shelving to organize my bins. I love a good bin. As I lifted the *extremely* light shelf, I threw my back out. I laid on the garage floor and yelled for my cats help, but Nelson never came to my rescue. Very disappointing. I army crawled my way into the house, took a Tylenol or 7 and started to feel better. I decided to make my way to Amazon and buy something to help stretch out my elderly spine. The Chirp Wheel seemed the way to go. When I came home from my job I’m forced to have, I saw the box on the porch of my lower middle class home and was so excited. I immediately opened it and read the instructions. I set the scene, lit a candle and played some relaxing spa music. As I rolled my back across the wheel, my back cracked like a bowl of rice crispies. I’ve never felt so alive. I rolled back and forth and the years of capital oppression released from my spine. But then suddenly, something else released. A giant fart. Then another, and another. My butt sounded like I spittfighter plane from a dog fight. I couldn’t stop it. The cats scattered in terror of being asphyxiated from the gas. In the end, my back feels great but my cats a traumatized. I would recommend this product. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Avoid use around open flames.
