Wonderful small capacity water heater. Its good to see that GE is still producing quality appliances. What can I say. Its a water heater. Quality is good and it works wonderfully. Zero issues with the install ( this was a new install, not a replacement). What sold me was the price. I couldn't find anything that was comparable at Home Depot or Lowe's that wasnt considerably more expensive and it was delivered to my front door (more or less) for free. I didn't have to go pick it up or pay $80 some dollars to have it delivered by one of the Big name stores. Win, Win for me. ... show more

So, you need Hot Water for your small apartment or house, or you Master Bath is on the other side of your house from your main water heater and never gets hot water? This little critter is the solution to the problem! It's easy to install with the minimum of knowledge. All you'll need is a Crescent Wrench, Channel Locks, Phillips and Flat Head screwdriver. All needed parts, including nipples, are included! (Hoses extra if needed) It will get water extremely hot if you max out the thermostat, which I had to back off a little. And for those that wondering if it can supply enough hot water for a good shower, YES! But then, my showers only last 4-6 minutes... But water is hot the entire time. It takes about 1hr 30min to heat up from cold start. Which is to be expected. So why the 4 star rating? Well, it's not the most energy efficient water heater out there, but it is 120v and you can simply unplug it when you don't need the boost! ... show more

Saved the day! I had a gas leak at my house and knew that dealing with our power company could be days or even weeks. I purchased the electric water heater as my gas was turned off and cold showers are only fun the first day. I also have a tenant on my property and they didn't want to stay at a hotel. Bought this due to it being "plug and play". Had problems with the electric cord that was not attached to anything and had to be wired to the heater's junction box. The instructions make no mention of the cable gland and I only found out what it was when I looked at another manufacturer's website video. GE doesn't have an installation video or I can't find one after hundreds of searches. It has no hoses with it. I had to buy hoses and adapters for it. Now I have to find a runoff pipe for the pressure relief value. Anyone know where I can find one for a top mount valve? This "plug and play" already cost me 300.00 before taxes to buy and another 100.00 in supplies and I still don't have everything it needs. Major disappointment. Where are all the people that said it installed so easy? Apparently, they are plumbers or have done it before. So not happy with this purchase and still don't have hot water. Add another problem. I checked the measurements to make sure it would fit under my counter. Didn't mention that the value that must go on the top adds another 3 to 4 inches. More to this again. Still more and more cost and still don't have any hot water. Beware! all the misinformation makes this a very costly bait and switch. I thought I could trust the GE brand. Never again. Would have had hot water if I had bought one of the crazy TEMU products I guess. ... show more
