To set the application for use this is in a industrial water tank application that we use to show customer demonstrations of our pumps and their chopping/cutting abilities. The tank typically contains a large submersible pump any where from 5 to 60 Horsepower so we are also generating and adding heat to our water from the pump operation as it will run on a set cycle rate for 24 hours for months at a time. The water we use to fill the approx. 5000 gallon capacity tank comes from a well just like you would use at your home. Our water usage on average can vary month to month from 1,200 gallons to 10,000 gallons depending on ambient temps, evaporation and if we have need to drain the tank for periodic cleaning and internal plumbing changes. In the four years of using the well to fill this tank we always get a "bloom" of bacteria or organics and a fishy odor from the well once the water hits the light. It would normally take adding chlorine and water clarifier initially and every day for about about 2-3 days. until the water would be clear enough to see the pumps and perform a demonstration or record a video. Since installing this unit we have seen immediate improvement in water clarity, the "bloom" has become non-existent, no foul odor is occurring, and we have greatly reduced the amount of chlorine and clarifier we use for this system. Additionally we can immediately perform demonstrations or take videos and don't have to wait the 2-3 days for the water to clear up. For us this unit has been a great piece of equipment to help combat water clarity, odor, and visibility issues. The unit arrived in well packaged carton and no damage to the parts. Looking forward to see how long this unit will sustain the improvements we have experienced in our system.

Bought this a year ago. It's now a year later. Wanted to wait this long to give good feedback. This system is AMAZING. Easy to install, programming is a snap with the instructions. Most importantly, this thing works beyond good. YOU want to see the results? Water in picture on left is from my well before the PRO+AQUA system. Water on right is after PRO+AQUA treatment, before being treated by water softner. A picture is worth a thousand words, isn't it? I have high manganese in my water. This is typical of the wells in my area due to the aquifer. Off the chart manganese when tested. As you can see, my water untreated is Lipton tea in appearance. This unit makes it CRYSTAL CLEAR! I can wash white clothes no problem without staining. My toilets and sinks don't stain. THANK YOU for making an awesome product. Best of all, no additional chemicals needed like other systems. I don't see a down side here, do you? System is worth every penny.

I wish I knew about this 7 years ago! We are in Florida near the beach, our whole house well is only 98 feet deep, I say only because it should have been deeper according to experts who told me for better water in my area it should have been at least 150. That said with the system I had; several pre filters, sediment filters, water softener, scale remover etc I still had a lot of iron. Prior to buying this, within days after a complete filter change sinks and bowls were orange. After installing this PRO+AQUA Whole House Filter System I could not believe it's flawless! 7 years I've been living with water that stains and periodically smelled like Sulphur and you would never know this wasn't mountain spring water now just by adding this tank! I did have a couple hiccups with installation and the customer service was also STELLAR! The problem was the plastic male fittings to the tank needed a ton of Teflon tape to not leak, per tech support he suggested instead of standard 2 revolutions of Teflon do 10, I did and it worked but decided to buy 2 brass fittings to replace the pvc to be extra safe. Other than that all was smooth. This unit blows me away how good its been working and auto backwashing every 72 hours. I hope it gives me a long service life, I guess time will tell. I'm so happy with it and customer service I'm thinking of replacing my aquasana water softener for pro aquas! Don't hesitate to buy this, if there are anything less than 5 stars, the reviewers are doing something wrong as this things amazing!

First off shipping…. The unit is shipped in a box with NO type of bracing/packing, the box is also a LIGHT MATERIAL box not a HEAVY MATERIAL box with no bracing or packing the unit slides back and forth in box thus busting the ends which are only taped once. I lost some of media that was coming out of the box when received. The system is easy to install I had no issues, and had no issues with set-up and putting into service. It has been installed for two weeks at the beginning of the second week the water taste has gone back to original taste, the well water smell has also returned. I have tried to backwash at a smaller interval then the three days it is set for, this did nothing. I have a U/V filter after this system and have since bought a three filter whole house system that I am going to install between, this system is clear so I will be able to see just how bad the water still is come through the AUQU system. This system is supposed to be specific to well water to me it is not doing what it is advertised to do. Once I install the other system I will do another review with all three systems in place. I do not recommend buying this if you want a filtration by itself. It’s going to take more then just this.

We're new to the house, 2 years, with a water softener, then suddenly espresso tasted lousy, undrinkable. I thought it was the espresso machine. Then our water heater smelled like rotten eggs, a couple months after installing a new rod and cleaning it out. So something has happened to the water, which is city water, but from a well. The installation was fairly easy, but I'm a handy guy. I will want longer hoses than provided, but I made it work for now. I've noticed that the espresso maker is much better, but not completly cleaned yet. The water pitcher in the fridge was developing a film that I cleaned every few weeks, it hasn't happened again yet after a couple months. I thought the fridge filter was very thorough, but obviously it's not. The toilets were also getting a dark film that I cleaned often, and that hasn't returned. So there was a lot of bacteria and iron in the water, that has stained the toilets and white sinks. The lines are still coated with that iron, so will be a while before the staining stops completely. For me, this filter is a winner.

The filter is easy to install & get up going. I haven't done a water check by a lab yet, but water is clear and no foul smell at this time. The one thing I would have liked to have would be backlit screen for easy viewing. The tank does the back flush as programed. I read some feed back from other users and was wondering if they followed the installation procedure as to running the by pass before placing in operation mode. This is a basic important step for clearing the residue and removing air pockets. So don't rush past the initial flush. I will be watching for any changes in quality of the water. Time will tell,but so far so good. Only running for a bit over a week . Seems to be good bang for the buck!

I rarely review unless the product is exceptionally bad or exceptionally good. We're on well water and iron has been bad periodically for years but had gotten consistently high. We've had salt based softeners which were a major expense and headache with few tangible benefits. A compact system that requires zero maintenance seemed too good to be true and I was real hesitant to just risk $500-$600 on this filter. I did get a plumber/friend to install and results were instantaneous and four months later still just stellar. My wife was going through multiple bottles of Iron Out a month just to clean sinks, showers & toliets. I was having to remove and clean aerators from faucets twice a month to remove iron deposits that restricted water flow. We have not had to use Iron Out or clean an aerator since installation four months ago. I filled my bathroom sink right before buying this product and after draining the water I returned an hour later and the white sink was totally a pale orange inside.. So while we haven't had any samples analyzed suffice it to say we had a high iron/metal count. It has totally disappeared. The unit take up little space and we drain the backwash through a basement floor drain so we don't even really know it's there or when it does it's backwash. It's probably not only the best Amazon purchase we've ever made it's probably the best home maintenance upgrade. There is no salt to buy and load, no cares, no stress. If you have an iron problem you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't try this.

Works as a filter pretty good! Hired a plumber to install with a spin down filter before it The problem I’m having is the VERY LOUD SINGING/Screeching when it’s backfilling(?) or doing something automatically at 1:30am every other night. It’s so loud, wakes me up, lasts for about 30 mins. I called a plumber out and he said there’s nothing he can do about the noise. It’s installed in our crawl space, and will wake us up on the second floor of our house it’s so frigging loud. 🙉
