    • Great tasting water, but
Do not use the bypass valve. It constricts water pressure severely which is an issue if you have limited pressure from a well. The no bypass option allows full pressure and works great.

    • Really surprised and happy with how well it works
My toilet and tub would turn red 2 days after cleaning them. My well was producing so much iron I was having to replace components in my major appliances after a couple of years. I read and researched and finally decided to try this filter system. I spent a day installing it AND doing some well maintenance. This filter was actually the easiest part of my day to install. The computer was pretty good about guiding me through the pre-settings and I left everything on the defaults. Life after install: The filter flushes every handful of days and I cant run a dishwasher or take a shower during this time. It lasts about 10-15 minutes so it's not any real inconvenience. I decided to NOT clean my tub until l started seeing red buildup so I could see how much of a difference it made. I installed the filter on April 1, 2022. It is now July 19, 2022 and I still have not needed to clean the tub (or toilet but that's too gross to mention). I am going to clean it but the difference is SHOCKING.     • Doesn’t work as advertised
First off shipping…. The unit is shipped in a box with NO type of bracing/packing, the box is also a LIGHT MATERIAL box not a HEAVY MATERIAL box with no bracing or packing the unit slides back and forth in box thus busting the ends which are only taped once. I lost some of media that was coming out of the box when received. The system is easy to install I had no issues, and had no issues with set-up and putting into service. It has been installed for two weeks at the beginning of the second week the water taste has gone back to original taste, the well water smell has also returned. I have tried to backwash at a smaller interval then the three days it is set for, this did nothing. I have a U/V filter after this system and have since bought a three filter whole house system that I am going to install between, this system is clear so I will be able to see just how bad the water still is come through the AUQU system. This system is supposed to be specific to well water to me it is not doing what it is advertised to do. Once I install the other system I will do another review with all three systems in place. I do not recommend buying this if you want a filtration by itself. It’s going to take more then just this. ... show more

    • Solid built product and works well, especially for a customer demonstration application
To set the application for use this is in a industrial water tank application that we use to show customer demonstrations of our pumps and their chopping/cutting abilities. The tank typically contains a large submersible pump any where from 5 to 60 Horsepower so we are also generating and adding heat to our water from the pump operation as it will run on a set cycle rate for 24 hours for months at a time. The water we use to fill the approx. 5000 gallon capacity tank comes from a well just like you would use at your home. Our water usage on average can vary month to month from 1,200 gallons to 10,000 gallons depending on ambient temps, evaporation and if we have need to drain the tank for periodic cleaning and internal plumbing changes. In the four years of using the well to fill this tank we always get a "bloom" of bacteria or organics and a fishy odor from the well once the water hits the light. It would normally take adding chlorine and water clarifier initially and every day for about about 2-3 days. until the water would be clear enough to see the pumps and perform a demonstration or record a video. Since installing this unit we have seen immediate improvement in water clarity, the "bloom" has become non-existent, no foul odor is occurring, and we have greatly reduced the amount of chlorine and clarifier we use for this system. Additionally we can immediately perform demonstrations or take videos and don't have to wait the 2-3 days for the water to clear up. For us this unit has been a great piece of equipment to help combat water clarity, odor, and visibility issues. The unit arrived in well packaged carton and no damage to the parts. Looking forward to see how long this unit will sustain the improvements we have experienced in our system. ... show more

    • It works - water tested
It now has been working for about six months. Water had too much iron, after installing this filter the iron content is minimal, below drinking water standards. It backwashes every couple of days (configurable). It has been working fine. At the beginning there was some faint weird flavor in the water, but after a couple of months of use it went away. ... show more

    • Works much better with pre and post filters...
Bought this system and had my plumber install it. After doing further research, it was necessary to bring in a pre-filter and post-filter. The Pre-Filter is a spin down type that will catch most large particles and some metals. That Pre-Filter is here on Amazon. The Post Filter is a Carbon Block 20" unit. Again, you can this on Amazon. The Spin Down needs to be drained often. Your water might not be as bad as ours. The Carbon Block filter should be replaced every two to three months, depending on your usage. It's only me and the wife and I change the filter every three to four months. Programming the head is very simple. The backwash cycle is every other day. We also purchased a water test kit and I use it about every two months. Testing results are extremely good. There is no rotten egg smell anymore. The filters do so well that hardness is not an issue and this means that we don't need a softener. I might add one down the road. Make sure you use plenty of unions and shut-off valves when plumbing this system in. I have a shut-off before the sediment filter so that I can drain the line from the main shut-off valve for the house. After draining the pre-filter, I can take it down and do clean up. ... show more
