I installed this on a new well in order to get rid of iron and a bad taste. Installation was pretty straightforward. We saw an immediate reduction in the iron levels. There's still a slight bit of a bad taste but that's easily remedied by the filter on our fridge. Changing the filters is relatively easy. The 4.5x20 size can be a little bit difficult especially when the canister is full of water. It would be improved if there was a valve under each canister to drain the water. I contacted Sean at customer support for advice in dealing with another water issue and he was extremely helpful, not pushy at all, just helped me understand what was going on and what kinds of components I needed to resolve it. ... show more

My 50 year old house, on well water, had no filter system. It has always tested potable, but over the past year there has been an increase in iron, causing my toilets to look filthy in three days. I called a well service, who quoted me $4000 for an iron filtration system. I got the water tested and found the iron content isn't even that high, just high enough to be visible. Armed with these results, I called a second well service. They quoted me $7,000. So I did my own research and got this system (along with a $50 prefilter, also iSpring.) It's bigger than I anticipated. My plumber had to move both my water heater and pressure tank to make room, but the system and installation still cost me less than half my first quote and it works like a charm. Water is clear without being over processed. I knocked off a star for size and weight. I'm going to need help changing the filters. I still think this was the right call. Just doing my best not to pay the "tax" contractors charge single women. ... show more
