So far I really love it. I had a Camplux version of this and it never worked correctly. This one starts quickly, stays lit, and heats up quickly. The digital temperature readout really helps to keep from unknowingly overheating the water and scalding yourself. For $20 more than the Camplux, this thing is amazing. I'm sure the handle helps is you want to carry it around but I have mine mounted to the back door of my van. Therein lies the only improvement I could recommend. The unit can be hang mounted using the five holes in the back plate made for this purpose. The front panel is easily removable, but the back plate--with the holes--is not. So to drill and mount it you have to measure very accurately to match the holes in the back plate. Would be really nice if a simple paper template with the five mounting holes was provided, so you could just trace those holes onto whatever you're mounting the unit.

Purchased in 2021, its January 2026, still works, however I had connected outside in a 4x4 post in the rain and sun, dust leaves you name it, so purchasing another one because got little rusty, this was daily used as a mobile home water heater with 3 people using wile building my house, not a single problem, changed batteries once thats it, I use 2 30lbs propane bottles per month this is in florida so no need to have extreme hot water. Great product buying again.

Amazing, highly portable hot water heater - perfect for off grid or camping! Glad to have found this little powerhouse- hooking it up was a cinch, especially with the excellent full-color user guide included (and there are plenty of YouTube videos so you can see this bad boy in action before buying!) There are many options for powering the heater: built-in rechargeable battery, 12v wall adapter, car lighter - all cables, cords and power accessories came with my heater. The silicone hoses with quick connectors are durable and of much higher quality than in other portable hot water heaters I’ve owned and the shower head and pump are solidly built. There are loads of accessories included (a soft silicone pet shower head for gently washing your fur babies) and everything fits perfectly in a rugged carrying bag. Water pressure was more than ample with multiple spray adjustments. Water got nice and hot within seconds and maintained heat/flow for a nice long test shower. I still had a charge using the built in battery alone after 60 minutes of use. Great product Gasland!

Edit: I wanted to formally apologize for my first review. Apparently, a small connector piece fell out of the box when I was unpacking it. This is completely on me! I found it a few weeks after I made the below review. I really love this shower! After I figured out how to use everything, it’s fantastic. It’s a great value for the price I paid. Can’t wait to use it again! —— Bought this around a month ago and have not been able to use it. The water inlet line on the tank is some strange size that is not a fitting for any regular garden hose. I can’t find anything at a big box store that will fit it. I’m not a plumber or an expert at DIY. I’m not sure what others are doing, but reading the reviews, apparently I’m not the only person to express this concern. If anyone knows the solution - please let us know!

Fyi, I live off grid. I had just hooked up this heater and had my water at 75F. I began to smell something burning and thought since it was the first time starting this unit, it may have just been a preliminary start smell. Flames were shooting out and under the main burners, they melted the adjustment knobs. After this water temp fell and maintained at 50F. The unit I purchased is beyond unsafe, especially when gas and flame are involved. Take your money elsewhere.

I bought this water heater BE158 for my camper. The heater came with a fitting that wouldn’t screw on and after a few texts they sent out a replacement. The most impressive thing about the customer service is their response time which was in most cases about 30 minutes(during working hours/days). I did have another issue that it wouldn’t heat and like customers said that they got the run around and no response my experience was totally the opposite, they were very helpful, better than any other company I’ve ever dealt with concerning customer service. They did send me a new one out and it seems to be fine, not very much usage yet so we will see. My main reason to write this was to highlight their 5 star customer service.

This lasted exactly 5.5 years. I used it full time RVing for a year as our primary water heater on our new property. Then we used it for summer outdoor showers and to heat our off grid hot tub for the last 2 winters. It sprung a leak up towards the top, not from freezing, so I'm sure the bromine corroded the line and caused a leak. I ordered another one and hopefully the quality hasn't changed. I did notice half a decade later the shower head now has a quick disconnect fitting so hopefully I can remove that to connect to my hot tub pex lines. I have a pump sending the water through the heater then back into the tub. The pump is on a digital 120v timer and runs daily for the time I set it. As a side note a decent wind will put out the flame so I made a surround out of 12" aluminum roofing flashing roll I had. I also added about 4 feet of semi rigid (aluminum only) dryer duct to the top to create a draft, like a chimney, to prevent any overheating that may have been turning it off, but I think it was just the wind.
