This has been a great addition to my patio that can get some pretty intense light in the morning and early afternoon. I originally ordered curtains but was told I had to take them down due to being a fire hazard, so I ordered this to take its place and it’s been great. Installation would have been easy if we measured correctly, so please do that and take in account the space you’ll need for the knobs on the side. Essentially, if you think it will just barely fit, it likely will not. We had to take it to my fiancés job to cut one of the poles down slightly because of our (my 😅) girl math calculations. I’ve had it up for about a month and so far it’s held up to the wind and rain. I would get again and think it’s a good price.

Awning falls during storm and with strong wind because the incremets to get it to fit in place correctly are 1inch apart. If you aren't on a flat surface with foundation, this awning will NOT work. LATER: There also isn't a proper drainage system on it, so after inspecting during some bouts of rain, the rain has been pooling and the weight causes it to collapse over. We have to set the awning in a lopsided manner to make the water drain to one side.

Due to the lenth of #1 is 47 inches, even though there is lot longer canopy cloth. It shade is lot smaller than I thought. Manufacture could have provided 60 or even 72 inch extension rod, #1 in there setup diagram, this shade could have really double and better usable. May be manufacturer can ship that seperately.

This awning has met my expectation with the exception that I read the measurements wrong. I thought it extended 118”…it does not; however, I’m keeping it. Easy to install, does take patience. I needed something to shelter me from the afternoon sun and right now I’m on my deck while it’s drizzling outside. For the price you really can’t beat it.
