The reviews on this deck umbrella were so good I decided to buy it. The previous one I bought had a great price and all the features I wanted but was not sturdy and good quality. It broke within three days. This umbrella was the same price but much smaller, I went from a 10 foot down to a 7 1/2 foot umbrella. While I would rather have a bigger size I did not want to spend much and this umbrella is excellent quality! Everything works so smoothly, when I push the button to tilt the umbrella it works very easily. It even has solar lights on it! It has attached tiebacks so I can tie up the umbrella at night with very nice Velcro tie backs. This umbrella is advertised as red but it is not, it is orange. Color is not an issue with me, quality is and I am very pleased.

I had been hunting for a good solar umbrella for my deck. It's mostly shaded but I wanted some ambiance and lighting, plus a little coverage from summer rain sprinkles. I also didn't want to spend my life savings on something that honestly, I could have probably gone without. I never realized how expensive outdoor umbrellas are!! This one, after much searching, appeared in my feed and WOW! all expectations were exceeded and frankly, I don't ever want to be without it! It's FANTASTIC! Lights aren't SUPER bright but definitely add some lighting and are overall just super cute during a nice BBQ evening. The color is bright and hasn't bleached in the sun, though I never cover it or bring it inside during the season. And it cranks and tilts BEAUTIFULLY! I'm in love! 11/10!

Easy set-up, smooth operating, and it looks serviceable. The price was right. This umbrella is replacing one I've had for over 20 years. The previous umbrella was made from heavy duty Sunbrella material and is still holding up. It was also a 7 footer but had 8 wooden spokes. I'm replacing it because I wanted the lights and also because the casement holding the tips of the spokes had come unsewn. This one is much thinner material and I'm concerned with its ultimate durability. The thinness of the fabric means that it's not that great for sun protection but that wasn't a key factor in this location for me. Will it last one full year's with Southern California heat, winter rains and wind. Guess I'll have to see. The lights have a bluish tint but I will use some non-flame candles on the table by evening to mitigate against the blue, which isn't a good look on human skin. I chose the beige rather than the green that would've matched my chair cushions better but I also didn't want a green cast on faces around the table. (Yeah, I'm picky about lighting) I may update this review next May.

If you are anything like us we tend to go through several umbrellas a year sometimes due to our own stupidity and they fly away or the wind breaks them. This one has lasted a while, hasn't faded in the sun, and solar lights still work. Lights aren't very bright even with enough sun charging box but still the perfect amount of light.

The umbrella is a low cost light weight umbrella with very light fabric. I knew that before I ordered it. But only after one week open in the sun, it is already fading. I have older ones from a different brand that are the same fabric and they took over a year to begin fading. Also, I was hoping that the solar lights would be a bit brighter than they are. But with solar you can't expect too much from these little lights and the small solar panel. It takes a AA battery. It contains a NmHi (nickel metal hydride battery.) You can buy these on this site. They will take dozens and dozens of recharges as opposed to the regular rechargeable batteries . so I will be able to easily keep a good battery in it. No idea how long the solar panel will last. all in all not a terrible purchase for the money, but just don't expect a high quality fabric for this price. If you expect a great umbrella that won't fade for many many years and is top of the line quality, you will need to get a umbrella made with sunbrella fabric. UPDATE; After installing the umbrella for 2 days, it lit up one night and never lit again!!!!!!!!!! JUNK

This works well as an umbrella to keep sun out of your eyes, but that's pretty much it. The lights don't work at all. We've taken the solar charging panel off a couple times and checked to make sure it was connected. Not even a glimmer. I had bought a more expensive umbrella earlier in the summer that worked perfectly right out of the box, but needed a second, smaller umbrella. Should have spent more money because the old adage, you get what you pay for is definitely true here. Stupidly, I had already discarded the box so I can't return.
