So far I've been running this pellet stove for about 2 weeks now. It was a little bit difficult to find the chimney pieces vent into my lined chimney but once I got it all set up it was plug and Play. You do need to clean a pellet stove more often than a wood stove. There are some fan noises and occasionally the auger will squeal when it's moving pellets. Overall, this is a good machine. My only wish is that the thermostat wire /bulb was longer so I could move it away from the machine. The bulb reads the temperature near the machine way higher than what the actual room temperature is. I put a little tiny fan by it to get some more sample air delivered to the thermostat and it seemed to do the trick. Overall, very happy ... show more

I had a little issue with the temp censer and I contacted PelletHead and Nate took care of me right away! The stove was very easy to hook up and setup. I was burning pellets in just a few hours. It puts out great heat and I really like the different modes it has. I really like the ECO mode as it looks like it will save me money on pellets. One of the other things I liked is there are a lot of videos on you tube on how to setup, start up, program and clean the stove. Nothing better than watching someone do it for you the first time. One last thing, not only does it come with a remote I can use from my lazyboy chair...it comes with WIFI for my phone!!?? WHAT?! Yes, I can adjust the temp, fire height and fans from my appt on the phone. I give this stove a 10 out of a10 and would recommend it and PelletHead so far. ... show more

We had a Comfortbilt Stove as well as an Englander and this is the best stove out of the 3. The pellet feed speed is easily controlled with the remote, as is the air flow. We tend to run it on pellet feed 2 and fan on 4 and really heats the VT farmhouse well. The house was built in the 1800's and the last time any insulation was done was in the 1970's. They had blown in cellulose insulation, and it found every mouse hole in the cupboards--was my grandmother MAD. It has settled, so insulation is spotty, yet this stove will heat the downstairs rooms to around 76 if you have it on high, even when it is below zero. There are many modes the stove can be run on (we like manual) and a bag of pellets will go us 18 hours. I really like the ash pan, and it is easy to remove without dumping ashes all over. I also like the fact that the auger is not exposed directly to the burn pot, so there is no carbon build up you need to chip off when cleaning the stove. This stove is a winner! ... show more

It is not just a turn on and off stove to meet the required temperature. Also the sleek look of it makes it fit it smaller areas and not take up a lot of room. Overall a good pellet stove. It lights quickly, runs quietly and does a nice job of heating the house and maintaining consistent temperature. It does take a little longer to get to that temp than my previous one, and the hopper DOES NOT hold 40 pounds, probably more like 30. I can't understand why this stove rates so high, especially considering the price comparison to other brands of stoves that have been around for over a decade. I took the risk and found I should have stuck with a traditional brand of stove for less money. 1) Regardless of what the supplier states, it doesn't hold a 40 pound bag. This is one main reason I bought it. Get a small stove with 40lb capacity. Actually, the 40lb capacity is a straight-out advertisement lie. 2) The packaging for shipment is a cardboard box mounted to a flimsy pressed wood pallet both of which showed damage and damage to the stove during shipment resulted. Even with claims on the shipper, why would a supplier not package a $2500 stove in a decent $100 crate? 3) Loading the hopper with pellets is a real pain. The door is too small and too far back on the top. This and the associated lack of hopper capacity is a real drawback. One has to just try to manage it without spilling pellets everywhere including into heat vents into the stove through the top cut-outs. I guess try a small shovel. 4) The manual is not clear about stove operations or operational modes. The explanations are terrible. One has to run the stove to figure out how it works. I think it has a external thermostatic mode though the manual doesn’t explain how to make it work and that mode is just fast feed and high blow. The manual does explain how to cycle through the screen menus with pictures. The manual not written well at all. 5) The wi-fi doesn’t work. Another reason I bought this too, which is another big disappointment. It came with a USB support device without an FCC label. I tried linking to it numerous times per instructions and can’t seem to sniff out any signal on the 2.4 Ghz carrier. I’ve emailed them, and they responded quickly. They say that 99% of the time it is a router issue. I told them the device doesn’t broadcast. I’m not wasting anymore of my time. The stove does heat a small space well in manual and temperature control mode. Cleaning is easy too, but for twice the price of other small pellet stoves, it is just not worth the value and fails to meet expectations as advertised. Two stars. It appears to be made well, not too noisy, and I haven’t tried the battery back-up yet due to having to purchase batteries separately. If battery back-up works successfully, I may up the rating to 3 stars. ... show more

Setting up the stove was breeze. Taking apart the stove clean is also easy as well with tools provided. Replacing the side panels with ceramic tiles was easy as well. I needed to order some new gaskets for the stove and I called in to customer service and they sent them out right away. Could not be more pleased and it kicks out the heat. ... show more
