  • We've been shopping since last year and bought THIS insert pellet stove
We are very happy with our decision to buy the HP22i insert pellet stove by Comforbilt. Yes, this IS a legitimate offering by the company (I called to ask) With Prime, freight shipping to my door in rural Colorado was free (!!!) and faster than about 80% of our other prime shipments. Go figure! As for the stove itself - it's extremely heavy but very easy to install if you're already setup for an INSERT pellet stove. We used this to replace a 20yr old pellet stove (ourselves) which went out in December 2022. Everything worked splendidly upon initial startup (I watched videos and read the manual) and the stove is working very well. Note: for us, there were NO unpleasant fumes to speak of upon startup and first burn. My only complaint is possibly due to lack of knowledge: We cannot find any way to vary the forced air induction. On our previous (very old) stove, there was literally a rheostat to adjust the forced fresh-air fan speed (and the pellet feeder) thereby making it possible to have a more "subtle" fire in the firebox. It appears the only way to govern the firebox on the Comfortbilt unit is by the incoming pellet feeder via manual mode, which means there's always a rather ugly "forced air" look to the fire it produces, and it's using more pellets than necessary. That being said, we bought it for reliability (tbd) and heat, not as much for firebox aesthetics... and let me tell you, this thing brings the HEAT !!! We've only had it installed a week now, but never had it above 3/5 on the manual setting, and typically on 2/5. Best of all, the Comfortbilt H22i was simply the most economical option from a reputable US brand in pellet stoves. Units at the fireplace shops near me started at well over 200% higher for their most basic model. We bought this one on Amazon, got free shipping, did the work ourselves, and saved all the labor costs as well. Yeppers... the Comfortbilt H22i comes with our MOST enthusiastic recommendation !!! ... show more

  • Warms your home.
It really puts out the heat and warms the house great. This is the second winter with it and using a better grade of pellet I have less ash.

  • Arrived damaged, shuts off by itself, auger makes noises ….
When it arrived there was no indication that it might have gotten damaged in transport. However, a metal piece was already bent badly, and the auger motor died after 15 minutes of operation. Called and received a new motor which was easy to replace. In regard to the bent metal: “take off the front grill and bend the metal piece back in place”. After getting the pellet stove to work, I noticed it shuts itself off once the hopper is only half full. The pellets don’t slide to the auger which could have been easily prevented in the manufacturing process by changing the angle of the metal pieces. The temperature eco setting doesn’t work at all. Either it runs or it shuts itself off due to the above mentioned hopper issue. It never once shut off because a certain temperature was reached. It never turned itself on because it got colder. The auger makes noises like in the video of another review. I miss my 30 year old Canadian-made pellet stove which I had before. ... show more

  • Great Heat, Misleading Name
I installed the Comfortbilt Hp22i early Oct. 2024, Stove REQUIRES 3 or 4 inch Chimney Liner, you cannot use exsist Chimney. Comfortbilt markets this Pellet stove as the HP22 (i).. The i is completely misleading, There is absolutely zero intelligence or internet capabilities. The stove Heats very well, uses approximately 2 40lb bags of pellets on Hi for 16 hours which is not realistic as far as use but gives an idea of cost. A normal 30 degree day, I use approximately 25 pounds of pellets, (3000sqft Log home). The installation is very straightforward. Comfortbilt needs to integrate smart capabilities since they choose the market Insert as "intelligent" . Happy to answer questions. Cheers ... show more

  • I just needed a new stove and it was the one to buy. I feel thank you.
The reviews on the stove were perfect. I took my old one out after 20 years. Put this one in took no time at all just a little muscle. There’s a little bit heavy. I’ve got no problems. I’d buy it again.
