  • JUNK!
We ordered this stove and it has been JUNK. Work well for 3 weeks, then the blow motor went. It requested another. The customer service was deplorable. You can NOT speak to someone directly, its only by email. They took days to respond. I am again having issues with this LEMON and have been emailing customer service for 6 days with NO resolution. I spoke with a local pellet stove shop, and they indicated that they also can't ever get another to speak to. Do not buy these stoves!!! My local stove shop has been attempting to assist me in fixing this stove for over a month, they get as frustrated as I. Amazon should not sell any Comfortbuilt products. I have made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. ... show more

  • Warm & Toasty *UPDATE*
The instructions were easy to read and simple to use, the stove itself is well-made hns sturdy. After getting the temperature up to 70, I turned off the stove for the night, and the house stayed a comfortable temperature on into morning. Great purchase! *Update* 9/17/25 All Winter long it kept us comfortable! The type of pellet you choose can make a significant difference in how cleanly it burns. Trying to 'save money' by buying cheap pellets, in my experience, burned dirtier (left a lot more ash, making for more frequent cleaning) and faster resulting in less efficient heating. Our installer recommended cleaning out the ash weekly, and I learned the hard way that ash build up can cause the stove to shut off. Also recommended was purchasing a heavier-duty battery back up system with pure sine wave, since the circuitry can be sensitive to power surges and outages. The power went out fairly briefly 3 or so times, but our stove kept functioning as usual. Don't skimp on the battery backup; a power strip surge protector will NOT suffice to protect the circuit board. We just had a pallet of pellets made in Pendleton, OR, delivered and we're ready for the cold. ... show more

  • Poor customer support and quality
I bought this because of the good reviews.when the stove came it was missing several bolts the back panel was damaged tried to contact customer service but just got recording so I tried to contact. Someone online. Could not get someone to call me so I replaced all the missing bolts and started the stove it lights and would run on high and then stop feeding pellets and shut off so went on line and found out what to check the vacuum pressure valve was stuck tapped on it and it works very poor customer support and poor quality paid allot for something you should not have to fix it very disappointed.two weeks after, the stove computer failed water 6 days for the part, the part they sent was used and did not work properly, waited another 6 days and they sent another part worked for 2 weeks and one night I woke up to a house full of smoke the alarm went off and had to unplug the stove still waiting to hear from the company very disappointed bought the stove in August now it's November still not working don't waste your money. So now that I gave them a bad review they refuse to call me back now I am stuck with a stove that doesn't work Don't get scamed by this company read all the reviews call the better business buro and see the complaints Amazon shouldn't sell their product ... show more

Best I can say is it Works ok. Didn’t work after set up. Kept throwing alarms. Had problems with the settings being off from manufacture . Had to reach out to tech department a few times. They are friendly and helpful.

  • My new Favorite pellet stove
I replaced my old castle pellet stove with this new HP42 comfortbilt. Holds three bags of pellets, very nice. Old Castle couldn't even hold a whole bag. This one has thermostat setting to maintain desired temperature. Turns itself completely off. Temp drops 5 degrees and turns itself back on just like a forced air furnace. Now burning less pellets and have a comfortable home temperature 24/7 ... show more

  • New car smell is gone long gone
My HP42 came early and I was not near ready. A book with easy instructions came with it, after sitting down and going over the installation instructions, I started cutting a hole in my wall, I'm a retired electrician and no means a carpenter, but I did have a 3" hole saw and saw, I got my pipe up the side of my house as I read it should be installed by the book. I put a 40-pound bag of pellets pushed it on about 15 minutes a fire was for the first time in 40 years rolling in my house. The new car smell lasted about 3 minutes. It was 45 degrees outside and 60 inside, it took maybe 5 minutes once the fan started to reach 71 degrees. I paid a thousand dollars for two hundred pounds of propane last winter, never again. Will get back for updates once cold weather gets here.03-28-25 It did very good till Jan, 30/25 it started making this God awful noise I'm very hard of hearing but it woke me from a dead sleep, I'm only about 4 miles from the plant that builds this unit, I called them and they said I'd have to call Amazon I had put a 4 year coverage insurance so I called the insurance I paid for and told I'd have to send it back to Amazon, I said that is crazy this thing weight 300 pounds they said Well you'll have to pay shipping. Now I can't get the insurance to talk to me nor Amazon they say we will call you in 24-48 hours if we don't call we'll e-mail that has been 3 months ago and no call no e-mail. I can't blame the maker they want to be paid for their work. Thank god winter is about over. I'm retired and can't afford a lawyer. Guess I'll freez to death next winter ... show more

There is no customer support, do yourself a favor and try and call, I've tried to call for support, returns, sales, shipping, parts ect... all voicemails. They also have an email ticket system...BS...no response. Look at their BBB complaints. Frustrating! ... show more
