I bought this to give some much-needed shade to our grapefruit tree the Arizona sun has been brutal and caused a lot of damage. This shade cloth has really helped protect the tree and keep the area cooler. The color looks nice in the yard, and the size was just right for the spot we needed. The material feels strong and durable, and it’s held up well so far. It's also got decent water resistance, which is a plus during the Arizona monsoons. Just a heads-up: you’ll definitely need hooks and some rope to secure it properly it doesn’t come with them. Installation was pretty simple once we had everything, and the weight is light enough to manage without being flimsy. All in all, it's doing exactly what we hoped and looks good doing it!

Just like a good quality tarp or car cover, the most you’ll get out of these nylon-type products will be 2-4 years. The way this one is built, it looks like I’ll definitely get good use out of it. We are in the middle of building out our patio and didn’t want to spend the money on a full-blown deck cover with framing, joists, plywood, and shingles. I built a very simple frame and installed this sail, instead. It saved a lot of money and still looks nice. It’s a windy day today, and it seems to be handling it well.

This gave good bang for the buck. First mounted in July of 2020 in Austin TX, took it down only twice, once in 2021 for the Snowpocalypse (AFTER it had 4 inches of snow on it) and once more in '23 for the Arborgeddon ice storm (again, forgot to take it down till it was covered in half an inch of ice). Very good shade and breathability, tight enough weave that light rain rolls off. Tough material, the only weakness is the edge stitching - that thread disintegrated slowly while the woven seat-belt poly edge banding and the actual shade fabric held up very well. Eventually failed at one corner during a high-wind thunderstorm, after the hems were mostly flapping loose. Will probably replace with the same thing, $13 a year for four years is pretty good. Would be nice if the stitching was as tough as the rest of it.

I just bought two 10 x 12 sand color shade sails and immediately installed them. I live in Florida so it only took a few hours before the first test of the sails began - they made it through a gusty and rainy afternoon thunderstorm with no issues. Very impressed. I'll admit, I bought the sand color because it was on sale and I am very happy with the color - and the price!!! The sand color is perfect to deflect the heat/sun rays but not like a bright white shade sail. Even though I miscalculated the dimensions, installation was a breeze. I would strongly recommend this brands shade sails and double check your measurements!

Happy to have found this size shade sail as well the grey fabric I had wanted. The sail is reinforced along the edges and where fabric meets the D-rings. Installation was quick and pain-free and so far it has performed well under windy conditions. Would definitely purchase this brand again.
