    • Solid bench for working out with dumbbells
First, I'm not a powerlifter, pro athlete, or CrossFit guru. Just your average guy trying to get (back) into shape. I bought a set of Bowflex adjustable dumbbells and wanted a nice weight bench to use with them. I was originally going to buy the Bowflex weight bench too, but I didn't want to pay the hefty price for that bench. Then I saw an online video comparing the best weight benches under $200 (this Fitness Reality 2000 bench and one other). They both looked like great choices, but I ended up going with the Fitness Reality 2000 bench. I don't have any regrets. This Fitness Reality bench is a solid bench, very sturdy, and is perfect for working out with dumbbells. It does everything I need it to do, is easy to move around, and was a breeze to put together. I've only had it for about two months now, but it seems like it will hold up for a long time. (I will come back and update my review if that turns out not to be the case.) So, if you're like me and plan to work out with dumbbells and are looking for a bench at a reasonable price, then this is one that I can recommend. ... show more

    • My best friend in my home studio!
This bench is nearly perfect. It has the right amount of padding. It's fairly heavy for a bench in its price range, but tips up onto wheels to move around making moving it around my 10x20 space super easy. And I appreciate the heaviness compared to another bench I bought and returned that was flimsy and unstable. This bench is rock solid on the stability front. Why I love it: I've been doing (for example) chest exercises with dumbbells on a yoga mat for years. Now, doing them on the bench, I can go past the midline to get a maximum stretch before a contraction. Setting the back at different angles has allowed me to really isolate the muscles I'm working and to do that in different ways. It's a little high for me for unassisted step ups, but I've rigged a system to assist me and the height gives me something to work towards. It's the perfect height for Bulgarian split squats, for hip thrusts, for weighted sit/stands. I love the adjustment that removes all space between the seat and back while bench is flat. The only caution I have about this bench is remember to reset the seat to the middle setting when you tilt the bench up so you don't damage the place where the seat and back meet. You need the space to elevate the back. The only other thing that isn't perfect is that one of the non-wheeled feet pops off often, especially when I'm sliding it across the floor. Oh well. I just lift and pop it back on. I've been working out with this bench probably 3-4x a week since January (it's now end of May) and it's still in perfect condition. Great buy. 10 stars. ... show more

I was looking for a bench for a few weeks and was having a hard time.. I’m 6’2” and most incline/decline benches had complaints about being too small for taller people. The first picture is me on the bench in decline.. there’s like an extra 6-8 inches of bench after my head, perfect for decline exercises and sit-ups!! The bench itself aside from that is excellent.. it comes pretty much fully assembled, there’s only four bolts to install. I think it took me about 15 minutes to unbox it and set it up. It’s comfortable and very stable. I think I saw a review claiming that the bench can’t actually reach the highest incline position (85degrees).. you need to slide the seat to the forward most position otherwise the seat blocks the back from raising high enough.. super simple. Also, good luck finding another bench at this price point with a zero gap seat! So much more comfortable than the gap between the seat and bench that most others have. I almost bought another bench but when I searched it on YT I found a video comparing this bench to the other one and this one makes the other look like a children’s toy.. this bench is built to last and has reinforcements everywhere. There’s less than an inch of the seat and bench that stick out past the frame so you won’t have to worry about the wood breaking like on cheaper benches. I wish it folded for easier storage but it wouldn’t be as solid if it could. I found the easiest thing to do was stand it up upside down against the wall and it doesn’t take up very much space. For the price, this bench really can not be beat. Only thing that would make it better is if there were a way to swap out the leg rollers for a preacher curl pad, even as an add on, I’d buy it quick! Update: I’ve had this bench for 6 months now and it’s still great. I see a lot of negative reviews and I just don’t understand them. I haven’t had any issue with this bench at all. It’s actually gone down a little in price since I bought it.. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat. ... show more
