I installes this carburetor on a Honda GX270 for a Dewalt pressure washer. It took about 10min to install. It came with all the gaskets and air filter. I also installed a new fuel tank that i ordered on Amazon which also fit perfectly. I turned the fuel on and the choke. I pulled the motor twice and it cranked up and ran flawlessly. Bought this carb. For a old honda generator with a gummed up carb...i figured for 20 bucks or so it was worth a shot....installed it, it fit perfect , easy install, first pull fired right up and ran perfect....awesome carburator would buy agin for sure

Worked great as a replacement carb for my old Honda HS80 snowblower, which uses a GX240 engine. Bolted it on, hooked up everything, and it fired up on the first pull. This was by far a cheaper and faster way of getting the snowblower working again verses me trying to clean the old carb or buying OEM. There's definitely some differences between OEM part vs this: this does not have a built in fuel strainer cup; OEM has a separate choke assembly bracket, whereas this did not and the leaver connects directly to it (IMHO, the new one is actually better); choke valve is shaped differently (but do not notice any difference in performance). I can't comment on the quality of the included spark plug as I did not install it. Also cannot comment on the quality of the air filter since you don't use them with snowblowers, but it seems nice. ... show more

Shipped quickly, was on my doorstep the next evening. Quick and easy to install and came with needed gaskets to fit a ~2008 GX270 with electric start. Mice had chewed all the foam off the air filter and the new one included also fit nicely. The only issues were I have to leave the choke on about 1/3rd of the way or the engine suffers from an off idle lean stumble which I couldn't tune out with the idle mixture screw, and the fuel line included was too short. Planning to swap my main jet with the one from the old carb and see if that helps, but the engine now starts and runs great so if I have to leave the choke on a little bit oh well. ... show more

Let me start by saying I was going into this extremely sceptical. The thought of buying an entire carb assembly, with extras, for the same price as some kits scared me. I, however, hate carbs. After some fiddling with the fuel shutoff lever, I managed to get the carb installed. I pulled the cord in my shop not expecting anything and I'll be darned if it didn't immediately fire off and start running. I wasn't even sure the carb that was the issue, the generator hadn't run in 2+ years that I know of(freebie unit). I am so happy right now! Such a good deal!! I'm sitting here, after hurricane Debby, no power, enjoying cool ac powered off of my generator I have approx 14 dollars invested in. Don't hesitate!! Building carbs are a thing of the past! ... show more
