We’ve had this up for over a year now. I didn’t want to review something this price point without giving it every chance to let me down. I’m happy to say it has not, even with almost daily use. Even in winter. Not that Florida has much winter, which is one reason it’s so useful. Obviously, there are much cheaper ways to build an outside shower enclosure. We spend a lot of time working and living outdoors. Gardening in the Florida summer is sticky, messy work. When we decided to add an outdoor shower, we considered lots of options. This was my first choice for many reasons, but let’s be honest, the price had me clutching my pearls. Finally, I decided I was paying for fast installation (my husband can turn a weekend project into his new life’s work), easy maintenance, and stunning good looks. I got all three, and more. It came in two large packages. Some parts are pre assembled, which made installation quick and relatively straightforward. My husband and brother had it up in a few hours. It would have taken much less time, but they also built a raised deck and installed plumbing, not to mention put away a few cold beverages, so it was pretty much a start to finish job in a day. This thing is gorgeous. Everyone who sees it catches their breath and says they want one. It’s surprisingly room on the inside. We have hook racks on both inside sides for shower implements as well as a small rack for soaps and such. A shower curtain easily hangs from one of the overhead rails. I use inexpensive plastic rings and fabric curtains that I replace regularly to prevent mildew in the fabric. I find fabric works better than PEVA plastic for airflow, but it’s a personal preference. Any shower curtain will do. It’s easy to clean. For the most part, it stays pretty clean on its own. Ours sits under a tree so we occasionally spritz it with soapy water and hose it down. I’ve never had to use anything abrasive, nor would I want to because it might damage the surface. It comes with all types of brackets for attaching it at either the bottom or back sides. We have ours attached at all available points because we’re both on a deck and against a wall. We’ve had quite a few thunderstorms (yay, hurricane belt) and it’s held up just fine. If we ever did need to remove it, the brackets are easy enough to unscrew. The side panels are solid without openings and reach well overhead and almost to the ankles, so privacy is excellent. So. Was it worth the money and would I buy it again? Yes. Yes, I would. While it’s lamentable that anything made of this material seems to be more pricey than whatever’s in second place, with proper care, it pays for itself. It looks amazing, it was fast and gratifying to install, it's effortless to clean, and an absolute pleasure to use. I’m just certain it’s added to the overall value of our home. It’s certainly added to the value of our lifestyle. For those reasons, I don’t consider it an expense, I consider it an investment.

My husband bought this kit for our outdoor shower. To use hand in hand with our hot tub. Installing it on the backside of our home. Very Private for being outdside. I hung a shower curtain across the door. It works beautifully we use it daily. That way I don’t have to dry down the shower inside our house. It does take a little bit of work to install it properly.

**** Updated Review **** ok my first review was not as good but Zippity Outdoor helped me through all my troubles and made my day. First of all even if you are thinking of building a shower enclosure by yourself, you will probably end up spending around $300 (Probably more if you are not an expert) including wood, stain, screws, hardware, concrete etc. Still your DIY enclsure wont look as beautiful and last as long like a vinyl enclosure. You might be a good DIYer and make it look good but both the beauty or strength of enclosure wont last as long. Vinyl on the other hand is pretty rock solid and last quite a long time without significant wear and tear. Zippity outdoor has really nailed it. The enclosure was easy to put together and boy it looks beautiful. Look for yourself. It comes with two walls but I got a third one and added it. The curtain works just fine and I would not get a door. Awesome job Zippity!

We are pleased overall, though, being an engineer, I was frustrated with some of the component tolerances. Several parts needed some trimming in order to fit properly. I wonder if anyone in the company has actually assembled a complete unit.

I use the shower when I get out of the pool. The product is well made. I used 3" metal angle straps to bolt my enclosure right to my stockade fence. That added greatly to the stability. The front posts are screwed down to the pavers. I had to move the solar shower out in front of the enclosure to get enough hot water. I expect I will get many years of use out of my new outdoor shower enclosure.
