  • Regular maintenance
Make sure you tighten all bolts after you use the plow, also for best performance I suggest greasing all moving parts to assist with the operation of the plow. I used it all winter and had no issues. Well worth the money.

  • ASSEMBLY TIPS & Update after First Use (problem).
I assembled & installed on my 2025 Bad Boy MZ Magnum (using the 48" blade section without extensions.) There is an official Agri Fab video on YouTube that takes you through the assembly process, I recommend watching it several times before starting assy. To find it, go on YouTube, search for "Agri Fab ZT Snowblade." There are 2 vid's - one for assembly, one for use & maintenance. Some TIPS, to avoid several time-consuming errors: 1.) attach the 2 skid shoes to the plow blade BEFORE attaching the blade to the assembly, partially tighten, do final adjust later. Much easier. 2.) At 2:00 minutes into the video: attaching the Pivot Support Bracket and mounting plate.....for Bad Boy MZ use the UPPERMOST mounting holes, not the bottom ones as they do. (for adequate clearance of channel assembly to the ground.) 3.) At 3:46 minutes , inserting the Channel Subassy. into the Pivot Support, push it in far enough so the Channel Pivot Pin (with flat washer) goes into the 2nd. hole (closest to the cable bracket,) not the first. Lastly, lubricate (oil) wherever a pin goes through and something rotates, including the lock-bar pivot and the big pin through the back of the blade. PROBLEM encountered on first use.... the weight of the assembled unit is too much for the two 3/8" x 7" u-bolts that clamp to the mower arms. During initial use clearing my paved driveway, it got to the point when the blade would not lift. I investigated and discovered that the whole unit was sagging... because the u-bolts had stretched. And, one of the brackets had shifted out of position just a little. I lifted the unit up and shoved a brick under to hold it up in place, and retightened the four 3/8 hex nuts. I got a good 2-3 additional turns, even though I had originally made them fully tight. Next use it happened again, there's a tremendous load on those u-bolts, they stretched again. Lifted & retightened again. I'm hoping they don't eventually snap, or the threads strip. I would suggest a bit wider u-bolt bracket with a bigger/stronger (1/2" X 7") u-bolt, or have 4 holes in each bracket and use TWO 3/8" u-bolts in each. I may consult a welder/fabricator about possibly welding the mounting bar to the front mower frame if/when the u-bolts eventually snap from the very high tension. ... show more

  • I was skeptical but it works well
It was easy to assemble with various different components to make it universal. Using it on a 54 inch Cub Cadet ZT1 and the only issue is it blocks the headlights that I dont use.... ever. I did not remove the deck from the mower. It plowed snow well enough with stock tires but it really gets the job done with some Tractor Supply tire chains. I have a tractor I can plow with but man, a zero turn is just so much faster when you can spin in place. ... show more

  • Works, but needed to reinforce Works, but needed to reinforce
It works, but the U-bolts where it attaches to the mower plastically deformed to a point where I couldn't use it any more. The blade just dropped too low. There's a lot of torsion at the connection points to the mower & it's clear they didn't account for that in the design. There should be away to use a cross-brace or cantilever to fix this problem, but would likely be specific to the mower. I used a log chain & binder with some redneck engineering & got it to work. So, I'll keep it, but I wouldn't purchase again without the upgrades mentioned above. It works fine for pushing about 3-4" of snow on a single drive. You can do multilane areas, but it takes multiple passes. It can not push piles of snow, because the mower is too light & leads to spinning out. I added snow chain & extra weights to help. Using a mower for a snow plow is not the best tool for the job, but seems to work for vast majority of snows we have gotten & avoids having a 2nd piece of equipment. ... show more
