First EV for us and first non Ford Charger. Straight out of the non descript box we’re using it off a generator to charge at 7KW for about 10 hours now between a few sessions and it’s been doing great. Any higher than 35a it pops the breaker in the generator so haven’t tested above that yet. Will be testing full 40a soon. No problems connecting to the Ford Lightning and makes overnight charging a reality, even off a generator. The charger housing looks good and the display is clearly visible day and night. It’s a fair bit lighter weight than the Ford mobile charger but that doesn’t mean it won’t perform. Heatsinks add weight but efficient electronics might not need as much cooling…. If it works it works. Summer next year will be the true test at 100•f. Right now it’s 40-70•f outside. Using the buttons on the panel is pretty straight forward but wasn’t always the most responsive. RFID was disabled in our use case so aside from scanning to turn off we haven’t used RFID. Cool feature if it’s in a public place but we don’t need. Charger cable is thick, Plenty flexible, snd long enough for our application and probably most others except the one offs with a plug around the corner. The handle feels pretty quality and only complaint is the cap (which we may just remove) hangs down onto the paint: eventually it’ll create a wear spot even being soft plastic. The App is Tuya Smart Home and gets the job done. I’d highly prefer a stand alone app but that probably adds costs and potentially unknown issues…. You can see power stats, get alerts, change amperage with more resolution than the front panel as well. Sufficient but unimpressive. Wall mount kit is sufficient as well. No complaints there. I’d buy again if I needed another so far. Time will tell for durability. ... show more

This charger delivers an impressive array of features at a serious value price point. Charging is fast and efficient, device is very well made and durable and comes with all of the safety certifications and protections you'd want. The app is very functional and it even comes with RFID cards which is something you don't often find with chargers at this price point. Really an impressive product for the price.
