    • Flawed design that frustrates and leaks.
Great aesthetic but bad design, made up of two plastic panels (with delicate edges) per section (4 panels if purchasing a two-section kit) This 2-panel construction creates 3 very bad issues: 1: It makes assembly very difficult as the delicate edges are joined by a running gasket that is difficult to completely seat into position without fowling the edges. 2: It creates a “midline” crease to what should be a constant curve, making installation very difficult (you have to force 4 straight edges into two curved ends) 3: The midline is not watertight, and leaks at both sides, significantly defeating the main purpose of the awning. It’s probably designed this way to save on shipping (?) but it makes the product irritating to install and practically useless. It would be remarkably better if it were shipped as one large panel per section, making install easy and leaving a seamless, watertight result. I also recommend caulking the curved edges where the panels are inserted to prevent (more) leaking and to keep them in place during winds. ... show more

    • Easy to install and surprisingly sturdy.
This is a great little piece of magic! It took a little while to get it but shipping was free so it is hard to complain about that. I have been trying to plan and build a cover over my back door for years but the way the door was installed everything was in the way. I found this cover on Amazon and didn’t think it would hold up to the wind and weather but decided to try it. Boy am I glad I tried it. When i received it I thought it was really flimsy but after it came together it is surprisingly strong. I installed it in 15 minutes and it looks great and works just as well. Several people have asked where I got it. This is a great alternative to a bulky cover over the door. ... show more

1} PARTS ARE LISTED BY ONE NAME & CALLED A DIFFERENT NAME WHEN YOU TRY TO ASSEMBLE IT. 2} I HAVE NEVER PUT TOGETHER ANYTHING MORE DIFFICULT. (& I AM ALMOST 60: THAT'S ALOT OF PROJECTS. 3} I DROPPED A SCREW..THEY COULD NOT EVEN TOSS IN ONE EXTRA SCREW! MOST COMPANIES GIVE YOU SEVERAL EXTRA. 4} YOU HAVE TO CURVE THE CHEAP CORRUGATED PLASTIC TO MATCH THE CURVE OF THE BRACKET. JUST 1 SIDE TOOK AN HOUR + 3 PEOPLE. 5} ONE BRACKET HAD 2 HOLES BUT NO MATCHING HOLE IN THE METAL. I DON'T MIND DRILLING...BUT INSTRUCTION DOES NOT SAY YOU NEED TO DRILL DURING ASSEMBLY. IT DOES SAY YOU PUT ONE SCREW IN THE SPOT WHERE U C 2 HOLES. INSTR SAY TO PUT 1 SCREW IN THE OTHER END OF THE BRACKET WHERE THERE IS NO HOLE AT ALL. 6} BETTER MAKE YOURSELF A TEMPLATE FOR ATTACHING TO YOUR HOUSE OR BUILDING. THEY DIDN'T PROVIDE ONE.     • Amazing seller!!
I have bought other ones but this one was the sturdiest of them all! Update: a strong gust of wind ripped the panels out! Freak thing of nature. Seller immediately sent me a completely new awning! You can't beat that kind of service!!!!

This product is worthless. The screws in the ends don’t hold. There are no holes to screw in the middle part. The structure will fall apart during installation.

Bought this to attempt to span 10'. Very flimsy and cheap. Don't waste your time. Won't bother going into details but it is very flimsy and cheap. More trouble than it is worth. Ending up sending back for a refund. Thank you Amazon for backing your customers.
