Heats up and boils in about 10 mins. Pretty blue light that comes on when you turn on the kettle and auto shutoff when it's done boiling. Great quality glass. Also comes with a pink sponge to clean. I don't know why I waited so long to get this 🥰. I love it.

I used the AZEUS 1.8L electric kettle and it performs well for daily use. The water heats fast and usually reaches a full boil within a few minutes depending on how much you fill it. The glass design lets you see the water as it heats, which makes it easy to track without opening the lid. The build feels solid and the combination of borosilicate glass and stainless steel keeps the water tasting clean with no plastic smell. This Kettle takes just a little longer to bring the water to a full boil if needed as compared to a stove top kettle but, it does come with a heavier duty power cord which does not get hot like our previous free standing kettle. This is a good safety feature along with the auto cut-off. Sort of fun to see the water come up to the temperature need for the intended purpose like pre-heating the water for the coffee maker for a better brew or making warm water for the pets' feedings. The 1.8L capacity is equivalent to a full 12 cup carafe coffee pot. Update: After 10 weeks of use generally once a day, this product failed. It failed by not turning off automatically when the water boiled. This is a major safety hazard! We were lucky that we were present and able to pull the power plug to stop the runaway kettle twice. Then, to top that off, even though the T&Cs of the purchase say it has a one year warranty, the challenge is how to file a warranty claim to either Amazon or the manufacturer, AZEUS. The buyer gets in a loop of screens none of which allow the user to submit a claim for a replacement. For us, we are going back to the good old fashion metal whistler kettle on the stove top. Works as described. Had boiling water under 10 minutes from right out of the box, which is great cause I am sick, and I got tired of microwaving my water to make hot tea. Capacity is more than enough and the use is pretty straightforward. Id call it a plug and play type of item. Just a note though: it does get a little noisy when the heater kicks in to really get the water hot right before boiling. I was concerned for a second but it's fine. ... show more
