I couldn't decide whether I wanted the home or professional version of this, but ended up going with the professional model since I have two long-haired dogs, a cat, and my boyfriend and I both have long hair. This vacuum FAR exceeds my expectations. My Husky is blowing her coat right now, meaning I'm sweeping the house twice a day. As a test, I brushed her inside and collected the fur from half of her body in one pile. Watch the video to see the vacuum make short work of it. Definitely buy this if you have hardwood/tile floors.     • This Machine REALLY SUCKS!!!

I saw an EyeVac in operation at my hair stylist's shop and was amazed at how easily & efficiently it operated. Went straight home & immediately ordered one for our home. We have a German Shepherd/Norwegian Elkhound mix dog with a thick undercoat that sheds year round but even heavier every Summer. Thanks to our dog, we don't have little "dust/hair Bunnies" hiding under our furniture like most other pet owners...oh no, no, no! Instead, we have huge "dust/hair Rhinos" that gather in massive herds & then stampede across the floors, roll down the stairs in a mass migration (as David Attenborough narrates), & threaten to overpower & suffocate anyone or anything in their path! We were wading daily through what seemed to be knee deep clouds of shed dog hair even though we swept daily & hauled out our industrial grade vacuum cleaner atleast once a week. It seemed we were destined to make the next step be a parking lot mobile vacuum truck!! Then we got the EyeVac & what a life changing piece of equipment it is!! The Rhino herds have been rounded up with a handy dandy "floor squeegee" thing we had & corralled by the super sucky EyeVac. Only thing to mention besides how great it is would be that it can surprise you with the amount of noise when it automatically kicks on...made both Hubs & I jump and cleared 6 cats from the room instantly!! However, it's no louder than a regular vacuum cleaner & certainly doesn't last as long as using a regular vacuum. There is a switch on it that allows it to be on automatic suck or off/on so you can switch it on manually...that way it doesn't suddenly come on whenever someone or some pet walks casually past it. Although it is kind of amusing to see one of our cats suddenly launch off the floor & end up hanging from the drapes thanks to the surprise noise! 😉 (No Hate Mail Please! It was just a joke comment...we really are animal lovers!) CONCLUSION: Worth every penny! Truly Life Changing! We're going to buy another one for downstairs where the dog's room is! ... show more

Amazing! I have 3 huskies. 2 are woolly coat and all three are shedding at the same time. My back is freaking killing me bending over constantly and good luck fur making it to the garbage can without flying off and I don't care how careful you are. I LOVE THIS. Kicks a vacuum cleaner in the butt! It empties without a mess. No need to empty it outside either. I cannot believe the amount of fur and dirt this thing can handle and it doesn't plug. 3 shedding huskies in the country. Everyone should have one. Everyone should buy one for an elderly family member to make their life easier with the old lady aches and pains. This thing is getting put to the test with my huskies. Anything that makes LIFE EASIER is worth the expense! If this breaks ... I'm buying a new one. ... show more

This is amazing! I hate sweeping the kitchen floor. Ok, it's not the sweeping, but the bending over to sweep the dirt into a dust pan and always leaving a line of dirt no matter what I do. I have been seen taking our vacuum cleaner into the kitchen just to avoid this. (Please tell me I'm not the only one.) This machine sucks up every crumb, every pine needle, every hair. I love it! There's a model that's $20 cheaper, but it's only 1000 watts. This one is 1400 watts, and I like the look better. 40% more machine for $20? Go for it. Spend the extra. You'll love it! ... show more

I have used a dozen or so of these in hair salons...you need to empty the bin and clean off the filter. Once it smells like burning hair they are done. The hair will get past the filters and clog up the motor and it is almost impossible to make it usable again. They work great at first, but you need to make sure they are emptied and taken care of. There is nothing else like these at this price and portable, so we continue to purchase them. Just need to make sure they are checked over. They might work great for light duty home use, but it you use them in an heavy environment, be prepared. I don't think I have had the full bin indicator work on any of them, you can't rely on that. ... show more

After seeing other reviews, I ordered this for easy clean up of dog hair. It's easy to hide( behind the couch) and so simple to use. After getting tired to dog hair this was the answer for me instead of sweeping onto a dustpan and losing half of it as it tumbled back to the floor!
