The charger may not be the fastest, nor it's the best, but it's working well as a traveler's companion when the charging stations are a bit too far, or you just need a top-off to gain a bit more distance. I've tested the dedicated NEMA 6-20 240V outlet a few times before we headed off on our long-distance trip into the middle of nowhere, and the charging rate was 240V 16A, according to our EV charging indicator and the resulting charges. While we were at our destinations, plugging into the garage's 110V/120V 20A outlet with no other connection with the same circuit, we topped out at 10A, fluctuating at 11A. We had concerns about some units charging at 16A on the 110V/120V circuit, potentially overheating the line inside the wall for extended periods. That's not the case here for our purchased unit. We were also concerned about a possible aging wall plug creating a bad electrical arc, melting the prongs. That's not the case either. Two of our prongs could be seen protruding out about 0.7cm. That was the same distance as a few photos with negative comments. A possible few lemons among the batches? The charging cable, from end to end, was nice and cool with the ambient temperature hovering around 65F. Nothing is warm to the touch after leaving the vehicle to charge for as long as 20 hours. We had the vehicle plugged in as soon as we returned to our destinations and siphoned as much free power as we could to add a bit more mileage during downtime. This charger does not come with a Tesla adapter if you plan on using it for the Tesla. We paired it up with the LENZ J1772 Charging Adapter for those using Tesla, while using it for all other vehicles with J1772 plugs. Overall, the cable was used quite a bit by various EV owners during our long trip. Other EV owners purchased their own, so, we can use ours without having to share for the moment. Just a warning. Since we didn't use it on a daily basis for a long period of time like most EV owner, but more of an on-the-go travel companion, we cannot provide the durability and longevity of the unit for those who want it as a daily at-home charger. You might want to spend on something a bit more robust, such as the original Tesla Gen 2 Levels 1 and 2 charger. It's twice the cost as a used unit, but it's also twice as fast at 240V. Just be careful of the 240V NEMA 14-50P outlet requirement.

We originally purchased this EVDANCE Level 1 & 2 EV charger back in November 2023 and have been using it as our primary Level 1 EV charger ever since, it is now March 2026. We use it for overnight and all day charging sessions - often continuous charging sessions between multiple vehicles. We plug it into a standard 120 volt wall outlet in our 26 year old home and we keep the unit plugged into the wall essentially 24 hrs/ 7 days a week. We bought it because of the extended length of the cord. We also purchased a second one last year to keep as a travel charger in one of our EVs. We love the quality of the units and the indicator lights on the units. We have owned and used this charger on the following FULLY EV vehicles with absolutely no issues, no overheating, no melted outlets, nothing: -2016 Kia Soul EV+ -2018 Chevy Bolt EV Premier -2022 Chevy Bolt EUV Premier -2021 VW ID4 1st Edition -2023 Nissan Ariya Empower+ -2023 VW ID4 Pro S Plus -2024 Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition We are back to buy ANOTHER unit because we have tested the ability to plug TWO of these chargers into our standard wall outlet with no issues. So we are going to set up that outlet as a full time dual charger. We will come back and update this review if we run into any issues. NOTE: We have ONLY done Level 1 charging with this unit and that is our plan going forward. We have not tested its Level 2 capabilities as we have no need for it. We also only use the unit inside of an attached garage, as that is where our outlet is located, so we have never used it outdoors. However, we also plan to test outdoor charging soon.

Works great, afforable, simple design. I have not tried level 2 charging but I would assume all the same holds true. I actually ordered the extension cord off the evdance website and it got here incredibly quick.

This product was very durable and I am currently still using it one year later. It still works perfectly fine. I do not have my car garage. It is in the driveway and the product has gotten wet and seems to be waterproof enough to still work.

I've been using this Level 1 & 2 EV charger for about a month now, and overall, I'm quite satisfied. It appears to be built solidly, with thick, durable cables that feel sturdy and reliable. It has worked well during this time, providing consistent charging. On a 240V 20AMP outlet, it charges at a decent rate—roughly 7 miles of range per hour—which is quite convenient. However, when plugged into a standard 110V outlet, it seems to only draw about 12 amps, even though the outlet is rated for 20 amps. This still offers some benefit when no other options are available, but the charging speed is much slower—about 1 to 2 miles of range per hour for my Silverado EV LT. Overall, it's a useful and reliable Travel charger, especially for everyday use or emergency situations.

I had luck with this charger for awhile, but like others, I had an issue where the charger would not unlock from the car. I did a manual release from inside the trunk and still the charger would not unlock. It is cheap, it works well, but once it stops working there can be significant damage to your vehicle, so beware of your options.

I Iove my pre-owned all electric vehicle, but the charger was missing when I bought it. The salesman said a new one from the dealer was too expensive and recommended this one. It's great to find an honest man these days and he was right. This charger's working great and it saved me a lot of money. Not buying gas any more is saving me even more now that gas prices are $ky high! Love that I switched to an EV when I did.
