This is a level 1 charger, so it takes a long time to charge an EV. But it is easy to use and plugs into a regular wall outlet. The cord is flexible. I can plug it into an outlet in front of the car and it easily reaches to the charging port near the back of the car.

I purchased this item for peace of mind and range anxiety that I sometimes have when going on trips with my Tesla. This is quite a deal when you consider this item is well over $200 from Tesla itself. Just knowing this is tucked away neatly in my sub trunk makes me feel better in the event that there is an emergency and I need to charge. It came neatly packaged, and in a carrying case with two handles and two zippers. There is a cover that goes over the charge port, which I think is a really nice touch to keep dirt and debris out. The hose has some Velcro straps to manage your cables and it’s very easy to get back in the carrying case once you take it out. The directions are easy to understand. You plug one end into the outlet and the other into your car. There are lights on the front of the unit that let you know what’s going on through various colors but I don’t expect this to give me an issue. It seems very well made and sturdy. As soon as I got it, I tried it and again, very simple to use, streamlined design and most importantly, peace of mind. Hope this review helps someone!

The charger displayed a flashing red light error, indicating a grounding issue with the 6-20 outlet. I had an electrician check it and the photos show that it's grounded correctly. This error doesn't happen when I use a standard 110V outlet. Other than the grounding problem, it works perfectly, charging at 16A when using 240V (which gives 3.8 kW) and 12A with 110V.

I was getting errors on the Ford charger that came with my C Max Energi (red triangle with an exclamation point). The were happening every few months and it became more and more frequent to the point where I couldn't charge at home. I bought this charger and I have been using it for a week or so and no errors so it definitely seemed to be an issue with my old charger (I wasn't sure if it was an issue with the car itself). I will report back when I have used it for a while.

The charger is functional…the problem is that tho very functional it charges excessively and unbelievably slow. It didn’t charge anywhere near full after charging half a day and most of the night…

The media could not be loaded. This charger works great for my Tesla all you need is Tesla adapter and good to go! Especially nice is the adjustable power output. Will definitely use and recommend!
