Installed this to house a wall charger outdoors where it is exposed to a lot of wind and rain, and my perfectionist home-design eyes. The steel feels heavy and rigid, no flex in the front panel. The tempered glass door front gives it a cleaner, more appliance look than a standard gray metal box. If I had a modern home, rather than colonial, I would even be inclined to put in a small LED strip to really enhance the premium appearence. There is plenty of space for cable management, the inside is big enough to function well in looping the charging cord without cramming it and the wall mount cutouts lined up very easily when installing. The lock mechanism is smooth, no sticking. So far its functioned in keeping dust and water completely out. For me, the biggest selling point of the install is its appearance. I do not like the aesthetic of cables, chargers etc, this makes new technology hide in at an old home, making it discreet. Worth it if you want your charging setup to look tidy and be fully weather protected.

I have an old home that has been destined for an EV quick charger to be installed out front by the driveway. I had considered a number of options, but when this came out I jumped on it, and it's perfect. I think what I like the most is that you can really cover all three major issues with an EV charger: 1.) a place to terminate the conduit for power, 2.) protecting the charger from the sun and rain, and 3.) a place to put the cord (other than coiling it up, instead of again being out in the sun). The only custom fabrication I added was a small 240v fan (looks like a computer fan) and a basic thermostat switch, so that the fan would turn on and circulate air through the box for anything over 100F. The fan runs off the 240V circuit pulled for the charger. The box is very solid; you won't be disappointed.

Ok, so first off, this thing is huge. I knew it was going to be large, but I didn't really think about the actual dimensions, so it's larger than expected. This is a very good thing, it needs to be big for its purpose. I was immediately distraught because the box was near destroyed, but it was packaged so well inside that there was just a tiny scratch on the top rear corner which will never be seen. The enclosure itself is VERY sturdy and well built. It looks amazing too. The smoked glass front is a super sleek look and gives some ability to see inside, but from across the garage, it's hidden enough to keep it looking modern and uncluttered. The locking mechanism is excellent from my initial testing. It has the typical luggage style numbered tumblers that are easy to turn and the knob is large and easy to use as well. The included key works very well too. I have no concerns about how anyone gaining access, unless they break the glass, obviously. I haven't installed it yet, because I am using it for a bit of a different purpose. I'm installing it on the outside of my home for an RV outlet and EV charger. This way I can plug in an EV or my RV, but keep it looking clean and uncluttered on the outside. I'll post a few pictures once I get it installed. The install will be easy with the hardware included. Just a few bolts to attach it to the wall with the outlet mounted inside with a few extra bolts that I'll have to provide myself. Very happy with this charging enclosure and would recommend.

Nice EV charger enclosure. This is really true to size, and we like the design of it. Functions as expected, really helps us to cover and protect our charger. Very easy to install, simple and straightforward process. Good quality and the price is good as well.

Pretty poorly built quality. Doors dont line up. The sheet metal is poorly welded and grinded down and does not align up. The latch is very flimsy. Mine did also come with a big dent on the top and the metal separated. However I was not counting that because yours could be better. Installation isnt bad but also comes with no hardware.

Got to protect my charger from the sun. Mine is mounted outside and 90 degree temperature hits it for most of the day. This seems to be good protection from the sun and hopefully keep my charger cooler. I did not receive any instructions and package that contained screws was opened with parts scattered in box. I contacted manufacturer to see if I was missing anything and after a few days did not hear back. I then had amazon contact them and next day I was emailed instructions and apology for long wait to reply. Since it did not come with mounting template, I suggest you make one unless you can hold the box up with door open to mark holes for drilling. This does look good and to me is a must if your charger is outside in the weather. It seems well built and solid.
