I have two dogs, both of whom shed a great deal. This worked wonders on my rug. I wasn't aware when I bought it, that it also cleans bare floors, which is a huge plus. The only complaint that I have is that it sometimes get clogged, and I have to reach my hand in and pull out clumps of hair. Overall, great for the money and I'm glad I bought it. I only gave it one star for stairs, simply because I don't have stairs. but it does have attachments for those, so they may do the trick. ... show more

It does the job it's supposed to. Pros: it has a strong suction. Works well on the carpet and is easy to clean out. Cons: little on the heavy side. Carrying it up and down the stairs can be exhausting. But it's still a vacuum I recommend.

Overall I think this is a good value for the price. The suction is good. It adjusts easily to different carpet heights. I only give it 3 stars though because there is a serious design flaw. The removable handle with hose & extender is awkward & difficult to use. It doesn't stretch out very far. It is not very maneuverable. Knocks over the vacuum everytime you extend it. I am very disappointed. The design flaw basically ruins the ability to use the hose attachments- Literally.
