I preface this by saying I only received this about 40 minutes ago. Inboxed and vacuuming within 5 minutes. It's so easy to put together out of the box. And it's already making me question my current robot vacuum. The amount of pet hair and dust pulled out of my area rug was disturbing. The powerful suction and ease of maneuvering made me miss vacuuming after 2 years with the robot. The large canister is easy to disconnect and dumps from the bottom making the dust and fluff stay inside the garbage can. Reconnecting is so easy! Not a negative, but something to note is the power of the suction in vacuuming one of my runner rugs was lifting the rug from the floor. Maybe I need to adjust the pile height. Also did bare floors with ease. It picks up the small gritty pieces right to the edge of the cats litter box! So far I am very impressed with this new vacuum and have already recommended to my friends! EUREKA! It's a great vacuum. ... show more

This is a good economical vacuum. It does a good job on hardwoods and carpets. It also is very good at removing pet hair. -Negative remarks- The Hose needs to be a little longer. 6 inches would be sufficient.

Not much to get excited about, it's just a vacuum cleaner. It's adequate for the job I wanted it for and quite a lot more besides. I'm surprised at the amount of suction, pick-up ability this vacuum has for the price I paid for it. I've seen a vac or two with as much or more suction as this Eureeka, but not many. Yeah, it's still brand new and, of course, pays for its inexpense with compromises like cheaper plastic, lighter fans, smaller motors, slightly less cord, etc. I never quite figured out why there are so many models for sale on Amazon with widely different prices from $65 to $150, but I think I narrowed it down to the number and quality of the other cleanup tools shipped with each vac. Other than the included tools, the only difference I can see in them are the colors of their plastic. I got a blue one. YIPPPEEE! Like I said before, this thing right out of the box performs well in picking up pet hair and dust from hardwood floors and low-pile carpets. It's definitely worth what I paid for it and then some. I'm happy with it, and that's all that really matters to me. It probably won't last long, but I'll edit this review when it dies. ... show more

An excellent Vacuum for the price. Lightweight and easy to maneuver into tight spaces. Powerful suction, the large dust collector was full within a few minutes. I never realized there was so much dust on the carpet. The collector detaches with a push of a button. The first time I emptied the collector, dust flew everywhere. So, be sure the collector is deep inside a trash bag before opening it up. The vacuum's handle detaches and can be used with the included accessories for dusting above your head. A nice feature. The power cord is long and does not tangle. The 12 inch cleaning head makes it perfect for a small apartment. I recommend this product. ... show more

I have an apartment which is half carpet half hardwood. It works on light crumbs and dust but its suction power leave some to be desired. I would say that this is a decent secondary vacuum but look elsewhere if you have a bigger budget.

Sometimes you just need a basic item without all the bells and whistles. The Eureka PowerSpeed Upright corded vacuum cleaner fits that description. It was easy to assemble - no tools required. Good suction power and ease of maneuverability. A bit heavier than I expected, but that's probably a good thing since it feels pretty solid. It has a good cord length so you don't have to stop and re-plug it in very often. The spin brush is effective on low-pile carpet. It's appearance is chunky with shiny plastic, but that is pretty common among all vacuums. This is a basic, medium-duty vacuum cleaner that gets about weekly use in a small private office. I didn't need a monster vac with pet hair pickup or a bunch of accessories you hardly ever use. But I needed something more than a baby handvac with a pole on the end of it. I'm very pleased with this purchase. If you need a heavy-duty vacuum or have an army of pets, this probably isn't the one for you. But as a mid-weight vac for moderate usage, this one's a champ at a great price. ... show more
