The chicken coop and run are decent. I would not recommend this coop for a cold climate. The materials are thin. The shingled roof is nice but requires the buyer to waterproof it to prevent leaks during rain. My husband and I were very careful putting this together to make sure things were flush but despite that there are still a few gaps that require spray insulation. It is well ventilated which is nice. For the money this coop is exactly what you pay for so I honestly can't complain. If you are looking for a more sturdy, waterproof, weather proof coop for a cold climate then buying this one is not a good idea. Go ahead and spend the $700-$1500 on a higher quality. However, if you live in a mild climate area and don't mind waterproofing the roof it is a good bargain. It wasn't impossible to assemble for someone who knows how to build things and can use the assembly instructions more as a guide, but if you depend on detailed instructions to assemble things you may have difficulty and put this together incorrectly. For the price paid quality could have been better. There were chips in some of the wood, and the roof in one case (I bought 2) was folded up in the box. Luckily I just added some screws to hold it down and it worked. Assembly wad made difficult because of lack of pilot holes in some of the pieces for the run. Stops on the roof were poorly glued/ stapled and have already cine off. On the plus sude, very roomy and the chickens seem very happy. I added a small tarp at the end of the run for shade. My husband assembled and while doing so, the wood is thin and actually split in one place. I like how the coop detaches from the run to move. However, the wheels are only on one side making moving not as easy. The locks are just plain crap. We purchased better locks to keep out raccoons and other varmits. Putting the coop back to the run isn’t very easy. Nothing really lines up correctly and I find there are actually gaps. The coop also has gaps which concern me with rats and snakes. The water gets in the coop. My chickens love it but I think could be made some stronger. I cant get the drawer out and the coop door swells and have to use a screwdriver to open it up

The coop portion is great the clean out box was missing a piece other than that beautiful. The run portion only few of the panels were labeled and alot of my boards on my Panels to the run we're split! I am not sure if it was done in shipping as the box was damaged. And if it was damaged during shipping they needed to put my maybe styrofoam at the sides and on the corners of the panels. The directions need to be more specific as it's just picture paper instructions arrows would be nice to show the way each piece layed out as they were specific! Another suggestion is I think since the run itself is not heavy tie downs or some kind of anchors with a handle would be perfect! The run door needs to have a latch on the top and bottom as it is flimsy and making the door easy for predators to get your flock! The customer service from this vendor was super amazing! Other suggestion is to buy tent stakes to secure run to the ground! You can see the ones we used in the photo and the orange head that holds the coop board down secure can move to loosen it making it easier to move the coop! Today my wheels fell off my coop during moving it! Although, this company has been great to work with this coop is not worth the money they want for it! ... show more

I am posting this review because i felt compelled. Someone had left a negative review and i dont understand why. I had a few very minor issues with mine, and the company was more than willing to handle it and make it right. They are quick to respond to messages and very accomidating and easy to work with. I definately wouldnt hesitate ordering from this company again. The directions for putting this together are a little vague at some points and have a few steps backwards but pretty easy to figure out. It is a nice coop and am happy with it. Dont hesitate buying from this company because of the 1 bad review. I almost did and glad i didnt listen to that 1 and only review. I think they didnt actually know how to contact the company because amazon assistant tries to help first. If you need to contact them just select other for reasons your contacting them through amazon assistant and it will let you send them a message. ... show more

    • Good little upgrade for babies
We did some modifications to make it more sturdy and water proof. Good design but we could see cracks through some of the wood. Seller gets 5 stars. Both boxes came damaged with broken pieces. They replaced both no questions asked. Over all a good upgrade for the baby chicks and they love being outside ... show more

This product is a total piece of crap! Weatherproof hahaha your chickens will freeze to death literally. The so called wood is very cheap and very thin and the size of this thing is more like a doll house not a chicken coup. Do not order this crap!!!! I made the mistake and got burned for over $400 says it has returns but they will accept your return reason but the catch is you have to pay the shipping back and that was a $380 some dollar quote to me to send back and on top of that they also tell you you have to pay a restocking fee on top of all that!!! Which is more than what you'll pay for the junk they're selling. Please do not fall for their junk product what a nightmare!!! ... show more
