This chicken run is great! It was pretty easy to put together- took about 4-5 hours with just one person. We did add 2 extra tarps and secured the zip ties with additional wire. We have a ton of foxes around property so we also added an electric fence to keep anything from digging under the bottom of the run. Honestly, the electric fence probably wasn’t necessary but we had it from our previous run so we used it. I took us a few days to put this all the way together. The frame itself was done in a day. We did have a tree in the way so we had to negotiate how to best install. And we used sturdier wire screen and stainless steel zip ties instead of the chicken wire and plastic zip ties that comes with it. So that took a few days longer, mostly due to weather, and what kind of free time we had. I think it’s worth the money just to get the frame. And now I can let my dog out without worrying about him chasing the chicks. ... show more

Although I loved the large size I would not recommend this product to anyone for any purpose. After assembling, the structure collapsed with the first rain. The covering collected water and caused the cheap thin steel poles to give way. The item quickly became garbage for the local landfill. BEWARE!

the flat roof does not work well in rain and snow country. water and or snow caves in on top and I had to place plywood under the tarp to keep it from forming a pool. best to buy the a frame top to keep this from happening. Otherwise the set up was easy and our chicks are safe.
