Our coop arrived quickly, was easy to set up, and our new chickens love it. We are planning to get a covering for it so the birds can stay dry as it rains very hard here in the spring and summer. I will come back and post pictures after we get the enclosure up. We leveled it with pavers, put contractor wire under the pavers, secured 25 feet of weather 2x4’s to the pavers, and placed the coop on top of the 2x4’s. We also secured the coop to the 2x4’s. We did this to make sure that nothing dug under or was able to push the coop over. It is super cute.

I have an earlier version of this coop, and have used it off and on for 6 years. They made a lot of valuable changes with this version. The only thing that was not an improvement is the main door. Mine is a dutch door, and that is really valuable when dealing with little chickies. It's also important to have the door be on the side rather than the end. I have two coops, and although similar, one has the door on the end, and it is a HUGE pain, since these are taller than most, but still you have to walk through the coop. I really never use the coop with the door on the end anymore, except the chickens go in it to get out of the rain. Really, these coops are not good for raising big chickens, unless you let them out during the day. Chickens need more room. But it's GREAT for raising chicks with their mom. My coop is now falling apart, since the wood is really thin. I wish I had kept it covered, like in a carport kind of structure. I'm waiting to buy this one until I've got that set up. This new design will be very easy to clean out. You need to be very wary of that if buying some of the other coop designs. Take my word for it, I've gone through enough coops to know. You need practically everything to open Oh, and the latches suck. I replaced them with hooks and eyes almost immediately. If your coop is on perfectly flat ground, they might work better.

The media could not be loaded. The scoop was extremely easy to put together. Very sturdy. My only complaint would be the latches. Can’t wait to move my little chicks into their home very soon!!

To start, it was damaged upon arrival and they didn't want to refund even the shipping cost. Which was $100 alone! Fixed it my self since I needed something. Fast forward 4.5 months of it being gently used. The holes for the hinges on the nest box completely stripped (after already being tightend a few times to attempt to fix it). Note: I have not opened this side more than 40 times as I have not needed to. If I could I'd give this a negative rating due to the service being garbage, having it show up damaged, and it falling apart within 6 months. Is NOT worth the money.

With somewhat complex purchases like this, I tend to be a little careful about writing reviews too soon. However, we've had our chicken coop for about 6 weeks now, and are very happy with it. Our 8 chickens are now nearly full-grown and really seem to enjoy it as well. In fact, we routinely leave the doors open for a bit, and the birds will wander out...but they really just prefer to be in their coop. Lots of versatility and options for them...plenty of perches (we added a couple of extras by putting dowels through the wire.) We've been placing pine bedding in the upper section from the local Tractor Supply and change that out weekly to keep things semi-sanitary. The coop has been through a couple of good rainfalls, and no water gets in. We installed a couple of hooks to the underside of the nesting box area to hang their water / food from, and that really worked out well. We've also stapled a 6" chicken wire "skirt" around the bottom and staked that into the ground to discourage would-be predators from digging underneath. The only improvement / suggestion is that it's still chilly here at night, so we've snaked an extension cord through a door for their heat lamp. It would be nice if there was a small cutaway to facilitate the cord, but that's a minor thing. So far, very happy with it! Oh - one tip. This chicken coop arrives in 3 or 4 separate boxes...and not all of the boxes arrive on the same day. So if you only receive about 25% of your parts/pieces in the initial shipment (like we did), give it a couple of days...the balance of the items showed up about 3-4 days later for whatever reason.
