The media could not be loaded. So, I have somewhat of a unique situation until I can install my Nema 14-50 socket. Which won't be this month. However, I do have a 14-30 Nema wall socket, which this unit goes perfectly with. Being that the Nema 14-30 socket is rated 30Amps and this Charger is rated up to 32Amps, I decided to wait (aka be lazy) on installing the 14-50 Nema socket and use the Nema 14-30 socket which is used for your electric clothes dryer machine in your house. To do this, I bought an adapter as seen in the video, and it worked perfectly. The adapter takes a Nema 14-50 plug and converts it into a Nema 14-30 plug and I set the Amps to 29A on the charger just to be on the safe side and I can use my clothes dryer socket to charge my car. This works for me, and I wasn't told to do this. However, again, I set my current to 29Amps, and it charges well. This is my ingenius way of avoiding installing a Nema14-50 socket for now until I have the time to do it, lol. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this Portable Vehicle Electric Charger for my car. Being that I use EV charging stations to charge and go, this is more convenient for me. I can charge my car at home and be ready to head wherever overnight. I'm very pleased.

This is a great portable charger. The box is compact for portability. The cord is 25 feet long, easily reaching across my entire garage diagonally. It even comes with a carrying case to stow it into and lug around. The only trick is finding a proper outlet to plug this into (requires a 32 amp 4-pronged outlet). While charging, the LCD display shows current charger temperature, volts, amps, how much power has been transferred in kilowatt hours, and elapsed time. A light flashes green while charging. By itself, it's a basic charger that immediately starts charging when you plug it in. It charged as fast as my existing JuiceBox. If you'd like to schedule the charging, you'll need to download the app and pair it with the charger. I have not done this yet, so I can't comment on the app's ease of use. I will be sure to update when I do. The quality of the charger seems very good. The hose/cord is thick and durable, comparable to the JuiceBox charger. The charging "gun" is also comparable, made of good quality plastic, and is very tight and secure when plugging into my i3. If you prefer to wall-mount it, it comes with a mounting plate plus a bracket to hang the cord around and clip the gun to. The mount has a specialty locking screw to keep the charge box from being removed without permission (or at least without the tool needed to turn that screw). So you can keep it on the wall, and when you want to take it with you, just remove the screw and slide the charger off. Or if security isn't a concern, you can just leave the screw off for easy removal. Overall this seems to be a great quality, well-thought-out EV charger that will be a good replacement for my aging JuiceBox. ... show more

Note: this review will be a bit more extensive than the typical Vine review, given the price point and functionality of the product... Initial review: We recently received the product are are in the process of installing a new 220v circuit to facilitate vehicle charging. I have an outlet that facilitates the charger, but it's in the back of my shop. Our son recently bought an F150 Lightning. We live in a rural area, so I'm looking to streamline the charging process when the kids visit. The unit comes packaged in a handy carrying case. In our use, that won't be needed as it will be attached to the shop's frame with the provided mount plate. When the Lightning is here next, we will record the charging time versus the Ford supplied unit, and provide that information in an update. Stay tuned... ... show more

This is a terrific charger! It's solid...not lightweight and flimsy feeling like some others. The cord is long enough to allow you to not worry about which direction you pull your EV into the garage. I really like the heavy duty bag that comes with the charger. I highly recommend it!

Charges my M3 for daily commute to work. Does about 25 miles pet hours which if fine for me.. This device has a display where I can see power usage and time charging, etc. It was packaged well and easily installed. I lklr the case and ease with which eve thing fits in there.
