The kettle itself works great and I'm thrilled to have something that heats the water so fast. As far as I can tell, if the kettle is to the "max" water mark, the temps are really accurate. I also that it has different temp settings and will keep the kettle at a consistent temp for about 30 mins after your initial pour. The one thing I don't like is the inability to change the set temperatures. They have coffee set for 185 degrees, but I do a french press and I really need the coffee to be about 190-195 for the best results. So i usually will hit the next highest temp (205) and when the temp reading says 190, on it's way up to 205, I pull it off and pour then. Not a big deal but I'd like to set it and forget it if possible...

Great size for our new pour over coffee pitcher and appears to be all stainless steel inside (we had a glass "tea/water boiler for a few years, but the bottom looked like a chrome plastic surface and always felt... hmmm, can't be good boiling water on that?" Love having presets for water temp, and that is quickly shuts off when it hits temp (beeps too) and holds the temp well, so you don't have a pot boiling for 10 minutes or more like our old electric kettle did which would basically only shut off when the water level had boiled down to near zero. That happened too many times and the plug actually melted something in our surge protector and we could not remove the plug, leading to getting this one... great for busy-bees like me!

I needed a replacement for my beloved gooseneck kettle that recently has been discontinued and only available on eBay for ~$200. Thought about it but nope. Finally settled on this one and am so glad I did! PROS: Simple sleek attractive design Enough temp settings to be workable Maintains temp after returning to base after pouring Heats fast Price CONS: Have to remember to turn it off (stays on after using and returning to base) Top doesn’t open all the way, must do manually when filling (not a big deal) Doesn’t remember last temp (my other kettle did) so must set it every time I read the negative reviews with a number of complaints that the digital display began being unreadable. That would make the kettle useless because I need the temp 205 for my coffee so … because I love the kettle and the price is so reasonable, I did the nutty thing of ordering a 2nd one which I have stashed in the attic. If both of them fail then I’ll move on but the investment is not so great that I’ll regret giving it a go. Should that happen I will definitely update this review. —————- MAY 3: Dang. This morning for the 3rd time, I set temp to 205 and return to it at 212. Ao disappointed because have been using it only 2 weeks! Called Amazon CS and they are sending out a new one and will be evaluating my defective one once they receive it. Did not want to break out my spare kettle after a mere 2 weeks! Also, was watching the kettle this afternoon to stop it when it reached 205 degrees but heard it boiling when it got there, quickly opened the lid and sure enough: boiling. Verified with my Thermapen that the display temp wasn’t accurate. Taking away a star. Will update. ———— MAY 9: The replacement kettle arrived. It did not hold temperature AND when taken off the base it turned off. My original 5-star review thought the intent was for it not to turn off except manually. This kettle is all over the place with no clue what it should be doing. I am returning both defective kettles AND the one I had bought as a back-up because I loved the kettle that much. Beyond disappointed but can definitely not recommend. ———— MAY 17: Seller reached out with refund offer but I explained Amazon had already done that. Then they offered to send one free of charge saying the defective ones had been part of the same production lot as if now another would be of different quality, The logical problem I have with that is: 1. Reviews indicate there were quality issues all year 2. If you now have quality kettles why did you keep shipping ones with problems of not turning off, not stopping at set temp, etc? I responded that I had purchased another kettle, had lost confidence in theirs, but failed to add (so I am telling them here): at this point it's also a safety issue. Too many reports of it not turning off. They were polite and tried what they could. My hope is that they figure out their issues and using the same design produce a reliable quality kettle. Focus on that. I'd pay 2x the price for that kettle but wouldn't take 2 of the current one for free. DO NOT BUY THIS KETTLE! It has serious quality issues. Zero stars.

It's a decent value kettle with some quirks. What other reviews don't mention is that the temperature setting is kinda odd. Once you set the boil temp to 185 or 105 that's what you expect it to boil to and stop there, right? Well, this kettle does it differently. It first *always* boils to 212, then lets the water naturally cool down to the set temp, then activates the keep warm function to the set temp. About 2 months in using daily, the digital display is starting to progressively fade. Beeping is kinda loud, but tolerable. The black plastic lid is matte, while the rest of the kettle is gloss. It has no soft close, and snaps shut with a loud clack. Other than that, the kettle works well and we doesn't show any rust issues.

Honestly, this kettle really surprised me. It heats water super fast, in just a couple of minutes it’s ready for coffee or tea. I love that it doesn’t get hot on the outside, so I don’t burn myself when touching it. The temperature control is super easy to use, and the keep-warm mode is a nice bonus. Plus, it looks great in the kitchen and doesn’t take up much space. Totally worth every penny
