    • This thing is a beast.
Style: Pole Saw (No Battery/Charger)
This thing is a beast. While I admit, this is my first pole saw, it is incredibly light and handy to use. It breaks apart in seconds for easy transport, even in a small car, and putting it back together takes less than 30 seconds. Tried it on 1inch, 2inch, and 2.5inch branches about 12 feet up, and it went through them like butter. It is a bit more expensive than some other EGO tools, but I imagine its due to all the carbon fiber incorporated, making it light and easily maneuverable. I haven't tried it with any bigger batteries than the 2.5, but that was easily enough power for what I was doing. I'll be trying it with a 5.0, and 7.5 I have as well. All in all, a great tool to avoid climbing on tall ladders to cut branches with the 16" Ego Chainsaw, which I also have and have used. It may not be quite as functional for every day use as some other EGO tools, the chainsaw, mower, trimmer etc, but it kicks a$$ at what it was designed to do. Thoroughly happy with my purchase. ... show more

    • Works great, but it’s heavy.
Style: Pole Saw (No Battery/Charger)
I’ve come to expect great products from EGO and this pole saw doesn’t disappoint. I really like the fact that it’s telescopic which extends up to 17 feet. It cuts easily. The one thing I would say, however, is that it is quite heavy, especially with the larger battery. It gets unwieldy to handle when it’s fully extended. The shoulder strap helps, but when you’re on a tall ladder, be careful. ... show more

My son who is a fire captain in Ca. He has helped me ever since his Dad passed away 5 years now. I bought this after getting rid of the old one. As he unpacked it he was impressed with the the type of material it was made with and how strong it was, I also own the Ego lawn Mower and blower plus weed eater. This product is so good and Im not joking here. If I could do it all over again I would buy the ride on Lawn mower. As it stands even I was able to use the mower self propelled but I would need the ride on now. I never have to worry about the noise the mower makes, bc I can't hear it inside. Lets just say I had people asking or at least happy to mow my lawn and the power from the blower can last a long time. Just can't say enough about this brand. I dont go on and on about a product unless its great. And its worth every penny and continues years later with items I purchased back then. Would do it over and over again. Waiting for new products bc im going to see if I can use it for sure. The price is great bc I have not needed one repair yet. So its worth the amount. The cut was easy with the pole saw, the mower was very easy to use. I have my 9 year old grandson mowing. It folds nicely without using much room at all. The batteries last longer than any man using it. Charger is fast to charge. ... show more

    • Excellent pole saw
Style: Pole Saw (No Battery/Charger)
Excellent pole saw. The relatively light weight carbon fiber pole is a bonus and very welcome to my tired arms. Remember to buy chain lube and fill the chain lube reservoir. Cuts heavy limbs with ease. I used my existing battery from the week whacker or hedge trimmer. I am very satisfied with the EGO brand for high-quality products. ... show more

    • Decent for around the house.
Style: Pole Saw (No Battery/Charger)
I’m giving it 4 stars from a basic home use perspective. As an arborist, Forester it would not be my choice in a professional setting. It’s light weight, no mixing of fuel, quick set up, not as much cutting power/torque or reach as say a STIHL gas powered obviously but nonetheless for small jobs around the house it makes life a little easier. The chain tensioner has me wondering with each cut as it doesn’t quite tighten as much as I’d want in my professional opinion even right out the box before use and heat was introduced to stretch the chain during use. But it has yet the throw a chain. Till something goes wrong I’m happy with the simplicity and cost for very basic household chores. And I have a LONG driveway bordered by trees. Thumbs up to the battery life. ... show more
