  • This is a great power washer!
Style: 3500 PSI
The media could not be loaded. I have had the Simpson Clean Machine 3500 PSI 2.5 GPM Kohler SH270 Power Washer for over two years now. I did have some issues at the very beginning. I had orginally ordered the first one which did not work, wouldnt turn over and the water pump was damaged. Called Amazon and the woman on the phone made the request for another one, as I really did want this particular power washer, very easy. The first one was picked up two days later and the next one came two days after that. Five minute set up. Connected it to a hose, filled the gas tank, went through each step listed, and the power washer started first pull, which it does 99% of the time even after it has sat for a long time. Now, you may have noticed that two parts on this power washer are not OEM. The Gas Tank (which came dented in right where the cap attaches but it wasnt an issue so it didnt bother me at the time), and the Air Cleaner Assembly, only because the power washer tipped in the back of my vehicle after I accelerated too fast. Both we very easy to fix. I decided to change out the gas tank because the cap has been hard to place back on recently and there was a slight crack where the dent was that most likely formed as a result of taking the gas cap on and off. Power washer still runs very well and I know I will get many years of service out of it. If I had to say anything truly negative about this power washer it wouldnt be about the washer. The service cleaner, that came as a bundle to the power washer, never worked right. It would get to full speed and then die back down immediately. I ended up getting rid of it just this year and I plan to get a better one sometime this year or next. ... show more

  • I will never use an electric pressure washer again!
Style: 3400 PSI
So out of the box this washer is pretty basic - no accessories other than 4 nozzles. I added some stainless steel quick disconnects, a 50 foot hose extension, a cheap foam cannon, the Simpson in-line pressure regulator, and a 15 inch surface cleaner. This is a bargain and worth every penny even without those accessories. The power is amazing. The engine started on the second pull. It is relatively quiet for a gasoline engine. I ran it through 2.5 gallons of gasoline in about 4 hours of continuous operation with zero issues. There is some preparation required before the first use - the big one is you need to add oil - which is included in a pre measured pouch - to the engine crankcase Do this before putting any gasoline in the tank and give the engine several pulls to lubricate things. Also, before you start the engine, connect the pump to the supply hose and turn on the water. Remove the nozzle from the spray wand and squeeze the trigger to purge and prime the pump and high pressure hose - this can take a few minutes to fully purge out the air. Once purged, make sure their is gasoline in the tank, the throttle is open, the fuel valve is open, the choke is closed, the kill switch is on and give the starter a pull. Once the engine has started, pull the spray wand trigger again to fully purge the pump. It may look and feel like the pump has low pressure - keep squeezing the trigger and give it a minute. You will hear the engine bog down and suddenly there is pressure. Add the spray nozzle and go to work! The only issue I had was mounting the spray wand holder. It he mounting hole is partially blocked by the “apron” between the handles. I had to loosen the Torx screws of the apron to get enough clearance for the bolt to go in the hole. Once it was through, the apron screws could be tightened up again. And the holder holds the wand very securely if you insert it and twist it to snap it in place. Maybe the newer machines have a redesigned holder based on other reviews stating the holder was “worthless”. Based on my experience so far, I would recommend this machine - it is more than adequate for home use. The build quality is very good, the frame is strong, the engine is great, and the performance is awesome. Hopefully it lasts years with moderate use. ... show more

  • Spend your money on this machine.
Style: 3200 PSI 170cc Engine
This is an excellent machine out of the box. Fill with provided oil and go to work. It started on the second pull out of the box. You can't ask for more than that. Very good pressure washing all around the house.

  • Failure after 5 minutes of usage **Update***
Style: 3400 PSI + Surface Scrubber
I was looking forward to using this pressure washer as Simpson is one of the top brands in the business. I received the pressure washer and everything arrived intact. It was simple to assemble and instructions were easy to follow. Added oil and gas and it was ready to go. Easy start up and was working great until it wasn't. Engine shut off and would not restart. I then discovered the spark plug wire had come unattached and when I checked it, the inside of the plug fell out. Unfortunately this could not be repaired and now I have to go to a service center for a warranty repair. A WARRANTY REPAIR AFTER 5 MINUTES IS UNACCEPTABLE. Now I have to wait 3 weeks or more for the repair. A NEW pressure washer that has to be repaired should be replaced and if not then a significant refund should be issued! This is the chance you take buying online and my advice would be to buy locally for this exact reason. Had customer service been authorized to replace the unit rather than repair the unit I would have no issues but now I am afraid this unit may give me problems for as long as I have it. **Update: I wish this was a happy ending update but as of today October 7, 2024, my NEW pressure washer is still with the Authorized Repair Center. After repeated calls, trips to the shop, conversations with warranty, the issue is still unresolved. I keep getting the same response, we are waiting on a part. No one has reached out to me to keep me in the loop during the process, the only way I get information is when I seek it out myself. I have been very patient but no one seems to care. At this point I just want a refund so I can go purchase another unit. I will keep you updated so that you may learn from my experience. ... show more
