If I could give a one star I would. Pump went bad after 3 months of use, bolts would come out, the rubber feet went bad and scratched the concrete. They do everything to dodge the warranty.

Much better quality than the 3400 psi models. Simpson has limited service centers in our west Florida area, and wait time is 8-10 weeks! This unit has been great right out of the box.

Extremely pleased with this purchase! Starts easy and seems very durable. I used it hard over several days to get many layers of old pool paint off of my concrete plunge pool, something my previous, lower psi yet similar in cost pressure washers could not do.     • Great product plagued by poor packaging and shipping.
This is a great product. I read all the negative reviews and decided they came down to shipping damage in some cases and misuse in others. So I expected shipping damage and that's what I got, plus a missing hitch pin clip caused a wheel to come off. I knew Amazon would take care of it and they did, but I had to install the replacement parts myself. This is a serious and very powerful pressure washer so if you didn't know how to change out simple mechanical parts you might not really want this size of pressure washer either. Now as.to why they arrive damaged... Poor packaging by the manufacturer and absolutely no arrows on the box indicating right side up. The box was on its side in the Amazon truck and then the guys dropped it on my garage floor upside down. So the muffler heat shield was bent. Otherwise it works fine and I like it but it's overkill for my use around the house and car washing. The one annoying thing is that it absolutely will not start unless you are pulling the trigger on the spray wand while also pulling the starter cord. Otherwise the pump pressure builds up so fast that the engine can never get going. I think that's some sort of design flaw. ... show more

    • Never worked and no assistance
Worked for about 5 mins. Couldn’t reach anyone for support and after many hours of research finally got in touch with someone that said you have to take it to a local service center. Took to local service center after I was told they were one of the ones to take it to by a Simpson employee. Turns out they don’t service those engines. Called back and spoke to someone else who gave no information. Tried to start it again to see if I could get it to work on my own. Got it working, worked for 10 mins before spewing white oily substance everywhere. Called back, told to take it to a service center for warranty work. No phone number for warranty dept to check status. Local service tech says they are having trouble ordering parts. Called the Simpson support back, she was less than helpful and told me there’s no one else I can call and these things just take time. If you’re thinking about buying a Simpson, run the other way. The lady said I can’t call anyone to check and see if the pump is available for order anywhere. It’s just something that happens and will take time. If I could give negative stars I would! Future Simpson owners, good luck cause you’ll need it! ... show more

This is a great tool - a decade of scummy mess (algae, pollen and mold) removed in a few hours. There are some drawbacks, but I really like this pressure washer. It is very strong and sturdy. Drawbacks: hose very stiff and difficult to maneuver - but beginning to loosen after a few uses. Engine can require lots of strength and pulls to start, even when holding trigger open of sprayer. Some cheap plastic parts - I expected the fuel tank to be metal, but it is plastic - same with fuel lid. Online warranty registration is a bit wonky. This is a heavy machine - engine and frame.
