If I could give these folks at East Oak ten stars, I would. The umbrella is beautiful, and the frame is heavier than others we looked at. It looks great on our deck overlooking the pool and is a very nice addition to our patio set.........BUT, the exceptional service we received from East Oak was more than outstanding. We had a shipping damage issue and Paul went above and beyond to remedy the situation for us. If you are looking for a new umbrella, these are certainly the folks you need to deal with. They were understanding, helpful, and very friendly the entire time. I really can't say enough about them. East Oak is certainly a great company.

Not disappointed with this purchase at all. My family uses it every day. It is very large and somewhat difficult to open and close for the kids so I usually set it up and close it for them. Other than that, it's awesome for shade, so far hasn't faded at all and the LEDs are a nice touch at night. They don't produce much light but more for ambiance really. We have it mounted to the pool beside the deck so I can swing it over the deck or over the water. The LEDs look cool reflected off the surface, and the shade helps keep the kiddos from getting burned while swimming

It came in a big cardboard box and was VERY easy to assemble. Do make sure that you also order an appropriate weighted base since the description clearly tells you that it is not included. I like the design which seems sturdy and relatively wind-proof. The solar lights are a nice bonus. For me, I have a plasticized wood deck which makes it very easy to rotate the umbrella to either be over my hot tub or be over my little deck table & chairs. It is good protection from the sun as well as the rain.

These heavy duty umbrellas are well made and have already provided us such cool shade on our new patio. The attached strap helps to keep it sturdy during more breezy times but I would not recommend leaving it up if you’re not using it. You will also have to buy the weighted stand separate, as it doesn’t come with it. The beautiful LED lights create such a magical ambiance at night when it’s too cloudy to see the stars:) It took us a bit to put it together. You’ll want to have a helper for this. Trust me. It’s heavy. And it’s a bit of a learning curve to know how to collapse and to raise it properly, but it’s a good buy and I would highly recommend.

Love the umbrella! But we have on an above ground pool deck and it does not like any breeze. We had to drill a hole w a thick nail to keep umbrella from turning - the screw know was not strong enough. But all on all, with our personal tweak - we love it and it's great for the price!!!! Only thing I would change is want a tilt on it :)

Yes it's big but when 220lbs of filled weight are required to keep your 10x10 umbrella in place it HAS to be. Because it's an actual hexagon, it's diameter is 6-7inches less than another we tried (with fill holes on bottom that other one leaked that no matter what!) This provides sames weight stability because of it being deeper. The 4 star was due to the "joiners" between the sections can really only be used with those narrow pole umbrellas. Our sections are about 1/2" apart BUT no worry there as each section goes ON the umbrella cross-feet in the MIDDLE of the section, covering it completely. We are happy.

I got this umbrella on sale, so compared to umbrellas at a similar price, this one was by far better quality. It was sturdy, and the crank was strong and secure. The solar lights added a fun touch for evenings on the deck. I would definitely recommend this umbrella!

I purchased this thinking it would be great to hold my umbrella, but it took so much space up on the deck that I could not place the furniture where I needed it. Luckily I laid everything out prior to actually using it. It looks extremely attractive as stands go and I liked that it hid the metal stand. Would have kept it had it not been for the size. Looks awesome and I am sure would do the job.
