Nice awning. Very well built. I am surprised how heavy and sturdy this is given the price. The fabric is heavy and durable and should hold up to the elements well. It’s definitely a two person job to mount to the building. The instructions however are absolutely terrible!! You should plan on studying the unit components yourself and figuring out how to put it all together because the instructions will provide little help. We finally just tossed them aside and figured it out ourselves. Also, the instructions stated that it was made for attachment to cement, cement block, brick, etc. nothing said about wood. And the mounting hardware supplied was for cement. You will need to plan on buying your own mounting hardware if you’re not mounting to cement. This was quite annoying since the description includes mounting to wood which is contrary to the instructions. I only deducted one star for the horrible instructions and mounting discrepancies because once you get past that frustration, you do find that it’s a well made nice awning. If they had provided better instructions and mounting hardware for multiple surfaces, I would give it 5 stars.

When installing this awning, you need at least 2 people. I could have used a third set of hands/eyes. The directions are fairly simple. For an awning of this type, it’s pretty sturdy. Within an hour of installing it, we had a rain storm and it held up perfectly. Rain beaded on the awning material and kept my stairs and patio dry. It’s been nice to have because it blocks the bright sun from coming into my patio window. The awning retracts smoothly and is easy to work. It does its job so well, my neighbor that helped me install it asked where I got it and has ordered one for his home.

This awning gives really good shade and instantly made my patio look more put together. The manual crank is smooth and easy to use, and the coverage is perfect for blocking the sun over my sliding doors. It feels sturdy once installed, but be ready , the setup took a bit of time and definitely needs two people. Once it’s up, though, it’s totally worth it for the look and comfort it adds.

Overall this shade is pretty great. Provides great cover for my patio and rolls in and out easily. Mounting was a bit challenging, requiring at least 2 people. Instructions weren't great, but it was easy enough to figure out. I'd check youtube and look for a similar awning if you have any issues. It seems sturdy and the mechanism is smooth. I expect this to last a while.

I got this for my little guest house; it has an open deck with no shade. This is perfect for it, my husband and I installed it yesterday, and I must say it was a little harder than I anticipated, but it was well worth the effort. The mounting hardware is included, and it cranks up very easily. It is a good quality thick and durable tarp which is water resistant and looks good.

Installs easily, and a great quality. Installation was so easy, it can handle good, strong winds and heavy weather. Crank is very good and works well. We have it on our front door, and it is a good color. It needs very low maintenance, and installation is easy.
