These umbrellas are perfect for our very sunny pool deck. The red color is very pretty but has faded a little due to the amount of sun they get.. They are easy to open up and close. The crank is very smooth. We are happy with our umbrellas! The size and price were great too.

When I'm out in the sun I get hot and if I get hot then it's not good because you could get a sunburn so I'm pretty serious about my shade and with this really big umbrella that I bought it has been much better than it used to be. My life has completely changed for the better and now I have a whole lot less Sun anxiety. You too can be freed of your discomfort from the Sun. If you stand underneath this umbrella you don't even have to wear sun lotion. So go ahead and buy one and to protect yourself and your family too like me. Ah, the day it arrived! A box full of promise, hinting at lazy afternoons, shaded sips of lemonade, and perhaps even the sophisticated air of an outdoor café right in my own backyard. The "Khaki" color, fresh out of the box, was... well, it was khaki. A solid, dependable, earthy tone, ready to stand guard against the sun's harsh rays. I assembled it with glee, cranked it open with the promised ease, and tilted it with the push of a button, feeling like a true master of my outdoor domain. It looked good. It felt sturdy. The 8 ribs seemed ready to wrestle any rogue breeze into submission. Waterproof? Excellent! Market, terrace, beach, restaurant? Yes, yes, yes, and maybe! My patio was about to be transformed. Then came the sun. Oh, the sun. That glorious, life-giving star that this umbrella was specifically designed to protect me from. Apparently, the umbrella decided its primary mission wasn't protection, but rather a rapid, avant-garde art project titled "The Gradual Disappearance of Khaki." Day one: Still khaki. Looking good. Day three: Is that... a slight pallor? Maybe it's just the light. Week one: Okay, it's definitely lighter. It's less "Khaki" and more "Khaki Who Stayed Up All Night Studying for Finals." Week two: It's now the color of a forgotten potato chip at the bottom of the bag. A pale, sad, beige-ish ghost of its former self. The "sturdy ribs" were still there, mocking me with their structural integrity while the fabric wept its color into the ether. Week three: It's gone full "Witness Protection Program." You wouldn't recognize it. It's the color of disappointment. The kind of beige you see on hospital walls or rental car interiors that smell faintly of regret. The top is practically white, while the bits that were folded up still cling desperately to a faint memory of khaki, creating a bizarre, unintentional ombre effect that screams "I gave up." The "waterproof" claim? Well, water still beads on it, I suppose. But frankly, I'm more concerned about the color running off in a sudden downpour, leaving a trail of khaki tears down my patio. It's "waterproof" in the sense that a sieve is "waterproof" if you only pour a single drop through it. I imagine this umbrella's manufacturing process involved dipping it into a vat of "Ephemeral Khaki Pigment," whispered a wish for it to last a week, and then sent it on its way. It's less a patio umbrella and more a performance piece on the fleeting nature of existence, performed exclusively for my backyard squirrels. So, if you're looking for a DUMOS 9FT Outdoor Patio Umbrella in Khaki that will provide shade and maintain its color for more than a fortnight, keep looking. If, however, you're in the market for an umbrella that will undergo a dramatic, sun-induced metamorphosis from a respectable neutral to a faded, pathetic beige faster than you can finish a bag of chips, then by all means, step right up! Just don't say I didn't warn you about its tragic, fading glory. My patio now looks like it's being shaded by a giant, sun-bleached surrender flag. Pros: Sturdy ribs, easy crank, button tilt works. Provides shade (initially). Cons: The color has the lifespan of a fruit fly. Will turn your patio into a monument to fading. May cause existential dread about the impermanence of color.
