Description

Ideal for spaces up to 2,100 ft², this large non-catalytic wood stove produces up to 75,000 BTU/h and emits only 1.54 g/h of fine particles. The unit is equipped with side panels that reduce clearances to combustible materials, and a top heat exchanger that redirects heat to the front of the unit. The large glass in the door is lovely for viewing the fire. The woodstove takes a learning curve in how to use and we have used woodstoves for decades! Building the fire properly is very important. So far, we are very pleased with this woodstove.

This is a quality stove. It is heavy. The Escape 1800 weighs about 375 pounds. It has a large firebox that fits 20 inch logs and deep. It has close tolerances because of the heatshield. Also got the blower, which helps emensly with the thermodisc. It automatically turns it on and off when it gets hot. Drolet seems to care about quality with thick steel.
