Update: the seller reached out to me to replace the door chime. So far so good with the new chime- no issues. I also appreciate the sellers offer for replacing the original. This does work- but it also works when you don’t want it to. We have this on our toddler’s door to be alerted if she leaves her room at night. It goes off at all random hours of the night and she’s sound asleep and wakes us up. We have had it about 3-4 days, and it has did this since day one.
