This little Avantek wireless doorbell is exactly what I needed! Our old doorbell was on its last leg, and I didn't want to deal with the hassle and expense of rewiring. This one was super easy to install – literally just plugged the receiver into an outlet and stuck the button to my doorframe with the included adhesive. Took maybe five minutes, tops. I was a little worried about the range, as my house is fairly large, but the signal has been surprisingly strong. The button is on the opposite side of the house from where I plugged in the receiver, and it works perfectly. No missed deliveries or visitors anymore! The chime itself is nice and loud, but not obnoxious. There are also a ton of different chimes to choose from – I think I counted over 50! It was actually kind of fun going through them and picking one we liked. We settled on a classic "ding-dong," but it's nice to have options. The fact that it's waterproof is a big plus too. We've had some pretty heavy rain lately, and the button hasn't missed a beat. No worries about it getting damaged by the weather. For the price, this doorbell is an absolute steal. It's simple, it works, and it was incredibly easy to install. If you need a new doorbell, I highly recommend the Avantek Wireless Doorbell. It's a great little gadget that does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Very easy install and already syncd. Easily worked over 100ft apart. Ringer tone can be adjusted from loud to soft, with multiple different sounds to pick from.

Unit was very easy to set up and saved the settings when unplugged just as advertised. If you're looking for a boring, basic doorbell sound this only has a couple, but I actually quite enjoy all of the available sounds it has. Many of the sounds are classic little songs that everyone knows shortened or slightly changed. Some examples are Für Elise, jingle bells, and the birthday song as well as a few animal sounds like dog, cat and bird. I was able to plug it into an extension cord so I could sit on my couch to go through all of the sounds and choose my settings, then I simply unplugged it and plugged it into an out of the way socket and the volume and sound settings stayed. Since we are renting I hung the doorbell button with command brand heavy duty velcro so we can take it easily without damage when we leave and bring it inside if needed. We can hear the tone through the whole house, even upstairs and the signal from button to main unit works even when it was plugged in over 20 feet away. Far better than I expected for the price.

This was easy to install but don't trust the double sided mounting tape, screw it to the wall. I first mounted it to the vinyl siding with the mounting tape included in the package. Before I stuck it on, I cleaned the area well with alcohol and let it dry. It held for a few weeks until the first night it got below about 40 degrees, then the tape let go. It is screwed on now. The button is about twenty feet from the bell box with a brick wall and steel door in between. It works fine.

Perfect. Simple. Works as described. Many handy applications. We have a big house. I bought 4 and use them to save our vocal chords, nerves and relationships. My Fiancé thought this was genius as now we can “page” our kids from their upstairs rooms instead of yelling for them repeatedly, getting frustrated and then going up there to extricate them each from their bedrooms (we have 4 adolescent kids all together, obstructing parental voices are also TVs, X-box, Guitars, Cello, two dogs and a parrot). Funny thing is they respond better to being “rang” than to us yell-calling (may be because there isn’t any emotional baggage yet associated with the door bell chimes). We’re loving their quick response on first ring. So it really is a great solution for all involved. They don’t have to deal with my frustration (I really prefer they never see me as a witch with hair on fire). Kids get to set their ringtones and volume, change it up as it pleases them, and we’ve instructed them to plug in the unit where it will be visible to them at all times during their activities so that if their headphones are on and they can’t hear the sound, they can see the bright blue blinking light of the unit. We lined up the buttons inside one of our kitchen cabinets - left to right youngest to oldest (will make name labels soon) easy to reach when dinner is ready or I need to call them down to clean up their messes. We’ve gotten “this is brilliant” compliments from other parents who saw us use these in our home. I highly recommend this doorbell as a super affordable solution for conventional door bell use as well as un-conventional use like my adaptation. I also bought a couple with 2 buttons, one button is attached in same cabinet with the rest of the group, second is unattached and available for me to take along in my pocket for when I want to work in the basement, in the yard or the garage and might need some extra help or in case I fall or get hurt some other way and need help (no one knows when’s the next time I hurt myself, I’m talented that way...but I know I’m not loud enough to be heard through layers of walls doors and noise pollution in the house, not especially if I’ve got the wind knocked outta me, I’m adventurous like that with house projects) so the double button ones were for my sake more than anyone else’s, for only a couple bucks difference -why not? I’m going to keep the second button to my older daughters room bell in my car so that I can “ring” her when I pull up to signal that I’ve got groceries to unload from the can and I need her to run out and help me.

It’s loud enough at default. I don’t have to increase the volume but it’s capable to be louder or quieter. This is a perfect doorbell with the coin battery. I hope it last long. I used 3m Velcro tape to attach it to the entrance for easy peel of and on. And it’s cheap enough to replace if the button is stolen or broken. And no one would steal it unless it’s out of spike boredom
