Really great product. Works great. My only desire would be to see more simple tones added. The jingles just aren’t very desirable in a busy location. Also, some way to designate one door from another but the lack of that function is understandable at this price point.

When I first bough this I was concerned. How easy is it to sync up? Will it work with both receivers or will it be crazy difficult and hours of googling? I was actually surprised by how straight forward the entire process was. After the first one legit took me two minutes to set up the other one, and that was double checking the steps. The only downside to this? I would say that the design doesn't make it friendly for doors with angled door jam/framing. They require flat surfaces to properly line up or you run the risk of the sensors not reading each other. ... show more

    • Great Gift to Give Someone You Secretly Hate

I bought this for my mom to use in her new apartment. It's her first time living alone in an apartment that has ground floor entry and she was anxious that she wouldn't hear if someone tried to break in. I have a similar device on my front and back door and thought this would be a perfect solution. Clearly not all of these types of devices were created equally. I told my mom that installing these would be really simple and straightforward and so was a little surprised when she asked if I could come over to help. She is pretty tech savvy so I was surprised. The first problem was that her door frame and door have a bit of height difference, maybe half an inch or so. I didn't think this would be an issue because my back door has an almost 2 inch difference between the door frame and the door and my alarm still works fine, but this brand seems to be a lot more finicky. I made a lift for the door sensor so it would align at the exact same height as the door frame. Problem solved. Or so I thought.... Then it didn't want to connect to the speaker. After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I got it to connect and selected the desired alarm. I then go through the same song and dance with her back door. Mind you, all this took about 2 hours and more 4 letter words than I normally use in a month. The next day I asked her how she is liking her door alarms, and she says they worked once and then stopped. I was thinking she might be messing with me, she found all of my swearing very amusing the night before, so I popped over thinking that she was just waiting for a laugh. Nope. THE DARN THINGS WEREN'T WORKING. I tried everything that I could think of and they would work for about 5 minutes, and then just stop. I would go through the process of pairing them again the cycle would repeat. I am a fairly calm rational person most of the time, but these little things inspire rage. Maybe I got a defective set, but I waited too long to set these up so I couldn't return them and I am not about to purchase another set. DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE TRYING TO INFLICT SUFFERING UPON YOURSELF AND OTHERS. ... show more

I bought this doorbell to replace a very similar one for my business' front doors. I was impressed at the volume levels and ease of instillation. However, after 2 months of use, it just quit working. I walked in one day and the speaker box just stopped making the chime sounds. It still lights up, but makes no noises at all. All batteries were checked and are still good as well. I did lots of research before making my purchase and now, I'll be making another. ... show more
