The evse is well built, has many safety features, and a long cord. It’s good for outdoor and indoor use with very high weather rating. It has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. The cons are that the plug is very short, so the outlet plug has to be very close to the charger. The cord is thick and pretty rigid, so it doesn’t bend as easy. It’s on the higher end of the price for an evse. Overall, with the safety features and the high quality, it’s worth the price with a 90 days return policy and a 3 year warranty.

It works pretty well. Pretty easy to install. My utility company offers a discount for charging at certain times (M-F 11p to 7a, weekends unlimited). I've tried lots of combinations of charging schedules and it still can't seem to get it right. Monday from midnight to 7 it won't charge, and on the weekends I have to just manually turn it on. I tried emailing their support team and got no reply.

The DeWalt Level 2 EV charger was plug and play simple to install. I already had a 50 amp, 240V outlet installed in my garage. The mounting plate for the charger was easy to install (5 minutes); just be sure to install the charger close to the outlet as the power cable from charger to outlet is very short. Plug in the charger and presto, it's working. Once plugged in, use the DeWalt app to connect the charger to WiFi so that the charger can communicate with the phone app. The first use of the EV charger requires you to start charging via the app; subsequent charging is automatic requiring only to plug the adapter into the car and it just starts. The cradle that holds that charing adapter was a little tight and made removing the adapter difficult; I used a dremel to slight file the cradle on the EV charger and now it works perfectly with easy removal (you may not have this issue, it's just plastic). The EV charger charges my vehicle at about 40 amps as stated and delivers about 9 kw per hour; easily charges the car overnight. The 25' extension cable from the charger easily reaches my car and is heavy duty. One factor in my purchase was buying a product that met US electric codes and I am confident that this device does given USA manufactuer. It's bulky, but that is because you can wrap the cord around the charger. I would recommend this charger to anyone looking; there are some good deals if you shop around.

This electric car charger works exactly as expected and is backed by a reputable brand. One thing to note are the differences in the 40amp (this version) and the 48amp version. The 40amp runs at 9.6kw which will do about 36mph per hour of charge but that is somewhat dependent on the vehicle you are charging. The 48amp runs at 11.5kw and will do around 46mph per hour of charge for comparison. The 48amp gets hardwired whereas the 40amp is plug and go. If you're going to have to run wire anyway, I'd go with 48amp personally. This charger will charge your vehicle overnight. It is a smart investment for electric car owners even if you have a charge station nearby. The charger cord is 25 ft. The ideal installation area would be a garage. It does have an app that can be controlled thru Wi-Fi but I haven't really messed with it that much. The charger uses the standard j1772 connector which doesn't cover Tesla, but they do sell an adapter for around 60 bucks. You can run down to a 16amp charge. I have also had plenty of DeWalt products. They are a reputable brand that stands behind their products are honor warranties which is bonus in itself. Overall, this charger works well, easy to use and install, and works with any vehicle, even Tesla if you separately purchase an adapter.
