I just bought my air fryer and, admittedly, have only cooked three different foods in it. The first two attempts, frozen cubed red potatoes with onions, and a uniformly sliced apple with brown sugar (no oil) were not great. Fried yes, but dry as the desert. On another site (not in the appliances own booklet), I read to add water (under the tray) which I did, and what a difference! The second batch of potatoes were fried, but not mummified, and the second apple attempt was browned just enough, and really tender. My advice: add water to the bottom (under the tray). NOTE; the only draw back to adding water is that you’ll have to turn over the food, half-way through, by hand, rather than just tossing the food inside the drawer. ... show more

This is a great buy. At 2.6 quarts, it is the perfect size for a couple or singles. I set it up, followed the very simple instructions, and pushed start. It was so quiet that I thought it was defective because I couldn't hear anything. I had to feel it to verify it was running. It works well and I like the square basket which is roomier than the round models. It has a many settings for cooking a wide variety of foods. This is a smaller version of a 6 quart air fryer that I own. It is ideal for cooking for 1 or2 persons. Since I live alone I like it for making quick things like grilled cheese, garlic bread, one hamburger, a few hotdogs, one quesadilla, etc. Word of caution: watch your time carefully! The picture displays a full load of fries. You cannot cook in an air fryer like that. You can’t pile up your product to air fry. It won’t work son will be undone and son will be dark. I do love doing sweet potatoes and yams in this so far that’s mostly what I’ve done it’s smaller and works for me and when I send a meal out. Replace an older Dash Air Fryer (same size but the manual timer version). That one the inside rack was rusting out on it. I'm hoping this one will hold up longer. My wife loves the digital display and the temperature selection on it. So far everything is working great on it.
