  • My new best friend!
Color: Stainless Steel Size: 10 qt
Okay I'll say right off, maybe I should get more friends! But as a man who is a self-styled amateur chef, I have been pining for one of these types of cookers for a couple of years now. I always find a way to squeeze in one more item on the countertop. I choose this model based on reviews, features and brand name. I use my Instant Pot pressure cooker on a semi-regular basis and it is also a great cooking appliance, so I trust the brand name, and it doesn't disappoint. I first took the air fryer into the garage and ran it through a couple of cycles before using it in the kitchen. There was clearly some smell as noted elsewhere, likely from manufacturing. By the time I used it "for real" on the 3rd run, barely any smell. And by the next time...no discernable smell at all. My complaints are small, but let me get those out of the way. I wished it preheated up to temp faster. It's advertised in such a way that you think in 60 seconds, you're cooking. In my experience, it's 5+ minutes to get it to 400. Faster than an oven for sure, but not quite the blink of an eye I was hoping for. Second - the beeper is not loud enough. It beeps to tell you it's now at cooking temp, to rotate food or when food is done. For some reason, it seems louder to tell you food is done than it does to tell you the preheating is finished and to add food. You've got to be very close, so you can hear (or see) when it's up to proper temp. Since most foods are specifically timed, if you don't get your food in shortly after it heats up, it will start counting down whether there is food in it or not. Neither of these takes away from the overall 5 stars. I've had it for about 4 weeks and have tried a variety of items. I used the roast feature for skinless salmon. Amazing taste and quick. I found that 10 minutes was perfect for my fish. Others might find mine slightly overcooked, so experiment. It took about 3 tries for my fresh sweet potato fries to come out perfectly. I finally got it right at 20 minutes at 400 in the basket using the air fry function. Evenly cooked and delish. I did homemade coconut shrimp. I can't remember the exact time - it seems like 12 minutes at 380 but I'm going by memory. There are recipes out there to cross-check my memory. Again - used the air fry function. Baked potatoes were the best I've ever made at home. If you like potato skin, check this out. I rubbed them in olive oil, then lightly sprinkled sea salt, black pepper, and a blend of spices that is mostly garlic powder on the outside. These were large potatoes but I guessed and I guessed right - 400 degrees on bake setting for 50 minutes. Perfectly done inside and a nice crispy and tasty skin. You'll have to take a stab at it based on potato size. HUGE potatoes could be up to 60 minutes. Small taters - might be as low as 25 or 30 minutes. Other items I've done are quick prep items. Some frozen and breaded shrimp were perfectly done at 8 minutes at 400. Frozen tater tots same temp at 8-10 minutes. I sprayed a light coating of olive oil and salt on the tator tots. Crispy and delish. Everything so far has been easy and delicious. I have not used all functions - only bake, air fry, and broil so far. If you're on the fence and you like to cook, take the leap! 3/5/23 update: still really enjoying my air fryer. I find that it makes fish taste amazing. The dinner shown in the photo is flounder and sides. The flounder was cooked about 7 minutes using the broil function. Rubbed a bit of avocado oil, then used some fresh thyme and lemon pepper seasoning and a touch of garlic spice blend. Squeezed some lemon over the top, and broiled perfectly. I still use it, still enjoy it and continue to recommend it! ... show more

  • This thing is INCREDIBLE!
Color: Stainless Steel Size: 10 qt
Ok, so I don’t normally review things that are household items like this, best this one deserves it! The wife and I were looking to replace our old and tired toaster oven, and wanted to go with something that also worked as an air fryer. So I went down my normal rating and reviews rabbit hole I travel whenever about to purchase these sort of things and got good vibes about this unit. Let just say, the reviews didn’t do it justice. We’ve had it 2 weeks now and it has blown me away with how well it works. Toasting, air frying, broiling, baking, and roasting have all been tested and work insanely well. I think the air frying function is the most impressive, a handful of chicken nuggets and tatter tots are cooked perfectly in less than 5 mins. Without a doubt, one of the best purchases I’ve made for the house in quite some time! If you’re looking for a replacement for your toaster oven, or like my wife and I, something to do it all, BUY THIS! ... show more

  • Great Reliable Air Fryer
Color: Stainless Steel Size: 10 qt
LOVE this air fryer. We had another Instant Pot Air fryer that also had the Toast Function. That is the only function this version does not have. We use AirFry and put the bread/bagel in on the lower shelf & by the time its pre-heated and begins the count down, the toast is perfect. We use it all the time, it is SOOOO quiet in comparison to our previous version. We have a family of 4 & we all use it nearly it everyday. ... show more

  • GREAT! Need to burn off the plastic smell first tho. But I LOVE IT.
Color: Stainless Steel Size: 10 qt
For someone who doesn't like to cook or can't cook, this is great. Easy to use, it's pretty much plug and play. Size is as described and fits well on my small countertop in a small apartment. Haven't had smoke so far. Cooking time has a learning curve as certain things take longer or shorter depending on how you like them cooked, but you should get a meat thermometer for most things. Quality of my food has been great. Re: smell of plastic -- For the first few times you fire this up, it will have a burning rubber/plastic smell. There are articles about this online for many cooking devices. BUT I DO SUGGEST doing test cookings (maybe 3 times) OUTSIDE or with the WINDOWS OPEN. I have a small apartment with only a balcony and vents, so that burning plastic smell lingered in my room for a day or so which admittedly was kinda scary at first especially since I have pets. BUT IT DOES GO AWAY after a few uses. I suggest firing it up at 290 degrees for 20 minutes then let it rest, and do it again 2 more times. I think companies should figure out a way to do this before packing it up and sending to customers but it is what it is. With that said, one of the best things I've bought as an adult who doesn't like to cook lol. I've had it for a few months now and enjoying all the food. And money I'm saving from not going out because cities are expensive. Plus you can make your own healthy foods. Highly recommend. If this breaks you bet I'll buy another from this brand. I just hope they figure out the burning rubber smell before shipping - almost perfect. ... show more

  • Does a good job, easy to use and clean.
Color: Stainless Steel Size: 10 qt
Bought this on the recommendation of a friend with this same one and have been happy with it. Easy to use and very easy to clean. The non-stick surfaces of the shelves clean really easily. It doesn't have a huge footprint which I also appreciate with my limited counter space.

  • Air frying with a rotisserie basket is a total game changer
Color: Stainless Steel Size: 10 qt
Air frying with a rotisserie basket is a total game changer. Everything works great out of the box, cooks fast, looks nice enough, fairly easy to use. For those that are concerned about the smell, the directions do state to clean it and run it before first use so, just turn on your oven fan vent, clean it, run it 30 min, clean again, run again, and there was no more smell after that. Non-stick coating seems to work well, and i was able to get everything super crisp and evenly cooked without the use of extra oil. ... show more

  • Purchased Nov. 2025
Color: Stainless Steel Size: 10 qt
I was late to the game, this is my first air fryer. I chose the XL specifically so I could cook rotisserie chicken. I am happy and very satisfied with this product. I got it during Black Friday so I got a pretty good deal. I even managed to fit a 5lb bird, although I had to use extra truss all over(4lb is the max). I also cook wings from time to time and they come out great. Top rack cooks the best. I heard hooters flour is good so I bought from Amazon and used for air-frying and the wings came out great. Lightly dust and keep skin side up and do not flip them. Eventually the chicken fat will saturate the flour and a nice coating will develop. Wings were cooked at 380 for 24-28min but keep an eye out for the top rack. You can also experiment with lower temps of 360 depending on preference and cranking to 390 or 400 for the last minute for extra crisp. If you have uneven sized wings or drums larger than flats, first cook the larger pieces for 5-6 minutes before adding smaller pieces. Oiling the grates is unnecessary. I don’t bother with preheating for meat, just stick your protein in from the start - especially for larger cuts. This will also help the internal meat temp to slowly rise instead of charring the outside and having a raw center. I can understand preheating the unit if you’re cooking pizza, nuggets, etc. Also, the light switch is convenient to see the cooking process. For the 5lb rotisserie, I cooked for 1.5 hours. I had the chicken spinning for about 40min at 325. I know this is a low temp but I wanted to ensure the bones were cooked through and importantly the tendons in the leg were softened. For the rest of the cook the temp was at 360 and I paused the spin cycle and cooked breast side down. At times I would rotate 45-90 degrees and pause again for 10-15min. Finished with breast at 155 and dark meat at 187. Rested it 20-30 min in my toaster oven which was set to 100F and kept the oven door open. For smaller birds or Cornish hen I would cook at higher temps from the start. After cooking soak the grates in warm water and cleans with a soft sponge. For the removable door, I literally spray rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and wipe the glass. Same with the interior, rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and the grease comes off. If you do it while the unit is warm even better. In the future I will probably buy a smaller unit 6qt as well. Probably more convenient and quicker for small single size servings. UPDATE: For rotisserie chicken, I would have probably gone with Emerils 26qt air fryer, much larger space. Chicken are much larger nowadays even including heritage birds. The 26qt Emeril air fryer I mention is the original one, NOT the dual zone. Dual zone is not a good product and also has a heating element on the bottom as well so you can’t really use a drip pan. Bad product and It’s much more expensive than the original version. Finally, an important point about this XL air fryer! There is a vent in the back and tons of hot air is emitted so placing this directly against a wall on your kitchen counter may not be good over time. I usually put it away in a kitchen cabinet but if this is going to be a daily appliance something to keep in mind. ... show more

  • Stopped working. Didn’t last long
Color: Stainless Steel Size: 10 qt
I bought this popular brand air fryer & it worked good for 4 years. Then it just stopped working one day. We used it about 3-4 times a week. It stayed in the same place on the counter the entire time & it died. I expected this nice brand name air fryer to last longer than that. We researched how it could be fixed & nothing worked. We finally tossed it. Very disappointed. Until it stopped working, my only complaint was the digital time/temp display went partially out after the first year & you couldn’t read the temp or time. We just pushed the button & guessed by counting 5 degrees for each push. Loved the size and cooking results, but expected it to last a few years longer. We have a tiny basket air fryer that has been running with no problems for 10+ years. No more InstaPot brand for us. ... show more
