I am really happy I got these. They have two brightness settings which is great. Love the dragon image, when you turn it on it really lights up. :) I do wish it had an on off switch, but that's OK. By the way the lights are really small but I didn't mind, I can see the dragon just fine across the room because he lights up nicely. The light is just a tad less than 3'' tall. At first I thought that sounded way too small, but then I took one of my other nightlights and compared and I realized it was actually the same size as that. So maybe pull out another nightlight and measure it if you're not sure. Probably there's better deals for nightlights, but I wanted ones with a dragon on it.     • Very bright on lower setting, wouldn't use in a bedroom

These would be too bright for me to use in a room for sleeping. It's perfect in the kitchen though and is enough light for me to grab a glass of water in the middle of the night on the dimmer setting. It would also be bright enough to use around stairs for anyone that has trouble with them at night. Also good in the bathroom so you don't have to turn the overhead light on overnight which tends to make it harder to fall back asleep. I ordered Daylight temperature (5000 K) which means it is a cooler white that's close to full spectrum daylight. A warm soft light (3000 K) is a yellower light and might be easier for some people as a night light. Daylight has more blue light in it which if you know blue light in low light causes eye strain. Daylight colors are usually best for working rooms like kitchens, bathrooms, studios or any place the detail of full spectrum light is wanted. Soft light is are usually best in living rooms, bedrooms or anywhere that is meant for relaxation. ... show more

The two brightness settings are not very different from each other and are both pretty darn bright. We’ve had to set up something in front of the light so that it isn’t shining right on the sleeping child. The light sensor is also not very sensitive: the light is on in anything short of full daylight or a totally illuminated room. Not sure what the “motion detector” rating is for this product on Amazon, but it doesn’t have motion detection: only a light sensor. Overall this thing makes way more light than is probably necessary (and is probably drawing more electricity than needed as a result) but it certainly lights up spaces well for such a small device. ... show more

I went for soft white and it has two settings of low or high, perfect for our dark hallways and not having to turn the light on when goi g to the bathroom at night. The user manual sheet is in adequate. It only describes the night light turning on/off automatically. The box shows the light sensor can be set for automatic off or on, but I see nowhere on the night light to find such a setting. The only adjustment visible is the two levels of brightness. During the daytime, my bathroom is dark so this nightlight would be running 24/7. Therefore I will need to plug it in each night and remove it in the morning. As you can see they're both off which is because the room has light. When I first plugged them in it came on and they readjusted themselves after about 30 minutes. As I'm still setting up the studio apartment these will help me navigate around some of the equipment I've got to use to get everything set up here. And I can't find them at Walmart unless I pay twice as much and dollar store doesn't have the automatic night lights that turn on and off. ... show more
