For the longest time we were not air fryer people. We pushed against it for the longest time, enjoying making food and reheating leftovers the hard way. We have had this for 2 years - so we aren't new owners - this review is based on 2 years of great service. Enter the Dual Zone large Ninja air fryer. We use it. A lot. Possibly too much. Almost all food is able to be made (to the same quality as baking/frying) in a faster timeframe than traditional cooking. Fries is one of those foods that's about the same amount of time. But they're better. Oh so much better. Now we've made our own version of fries - which may take away the whole "health benefits" of air frying - which is to put a small amount of olive oil on the fries, add a garlic seasoning mix, toss, air fry, and sometimes add more. These are the best fries. Foods we have cooked in the air fryer include - fries (steak fries, tots, sweet potato fries, waffle fries, crispy fries), steak, vegetable blends, fish - reheated all the above and pizza! Many of our friends, who are also air fry people, tend to marvel at this air fryer - since it has not 1 but 2 trays... and that they can cook separately. That's right - when you become an air fryer, you can become king of the air fryers with this dual zone Ninja air fryer. Setting the temperatures (yes, plural - you can handle each side separately) is easy and I assume accurate - as we have no issues cooking. This air fryer stands out a bit from standard air fryers - Ninja has done a great job making it look great and stand out a bit from a standard air fryer. As with any Ninja product - this is very well made. Again, we use it almost daily, toss items in the dishwasher, easy to use, clean, hasn't stained or caused issues! This is great unit is great for burgers on one side and french fries, on the other side, and don't forget about chocolate chip cookies, a few chicken breasts, and double chocolate cake. The biggest thing I’ve cooked here was a 2 1/2 pound bone-in prime rib, which turned out wonderfully. It was cooked to perfection thanks to the internal meat thermometer, and I was especially proud of the delicious crust I achieved. I would definitely buy it again and again! And don't forget the 5lbs whole chicken that fits perfectly into one of the two baskets. 💯💯💯 ... show more

We were a little late to the air fryer party. A couple of months age we got the Ninja 5 Qt. air fryer, but realized we really needed a unit that has the capability and capacity to do two items at once. Since we liked the original Ninja unit so much we decided to get this Ninja DZ401. The DZ401 has a smart finish function that aids in two different things, at different temp and time settings to be finished at the same time. This helps with mixing up vegetable intake so you don't have to eat salad everyday. Vegetables do well. We especially like asparagus, okra, and broccoli in this machine. Nothing takes more than 15 minutes, with most option less than 10 minutes. The controls are straight forward, just set the temp and the time. Cleaning the baskets and trays is really easy since they are coated so nothing really sticks to it. There really isn't anything to complain about with this air fryer. It even looks really nice on the countertop. All in all, I consider this a game changer in how to have a variety foods with ease. Just go easy on how often you make fries! Works great with a couple minor issues. It has problems powering both sides at once. It still heats up both sides but if you start one side and then another, you can hear the fans slow down and the cook time needed is longer when running both sides. My husband was happy that I bought this air fryer for his valentines present. Now we cook a lot more meals with it especially veggies like asparagus, broccoli, and brussell sprouts. Package arrived with no damaged. Easy it to use. Function properly as well. Just like a duel AC unit in the car using this device. Fits perfectly well on the counter top.
