This 10Qt NinjaDZ550 Foodi Air Fryer is so good, I bought two of them! So if you have never used an air fryer, you need to understand what they are. They are basically just a small oven with a fan - like a convection oven. Because of the smaller space for food and the design that lets the hot air be blown on all sides of the food (including the bottom), food cooks faster and browns better and stays crispy. They are perfect for cooking frozen foods like frozen French fries, mozzerella sticks, chicken nuggets, egg rolls, etc. so air fryers are awesome for households with teens and college students. They can make their own food in the middle of the night without bothering people or heating up the kitchen. This particular air fryer has two drawers so you can cook two different foods at the same time! It also has a temperature probe that allows you to monitor the internal temp of the food in one drawer. And the best feature is that you can set the cooking temperature and cooking time for each drawer and then press Smart Finish and it will adjust so that both foods are finished at the same time! Beyond that, each drawer holds 5Qts of food so this is a true, family size, air fryer. I have two college kids still at home and they often cook very late at night. They both LOVE this air fryer because it's easy to set and to clean and it's quiet and will even cook a steak or pork chop or chicken breast with ease. I bought silicone baskets for the drawers so clean up is so easy that the kids actually do it. Just take the basket out and wash it under the sink or in the dishwasher. If you have never used an air fryer, just remember that it's a small oven and can do anything you can do in an oven. Even bake! I bought a couple of air fryer books with recipes to get me started and they are super helpful. You will get the hang.of it pretty quickly. My.husband and I are old and honestly, this is great for us, too. I like reheating things in this as well as making a meal for just the two of us. I have had a couple different brands and types of air fryers at this point and this one by far has been my favorite. I love the double baskets that way i can cook 2 separate things with 2 separate times and temperatures. The smart cook option to have things end their cook at the same time is also a great feature. The baskets are super easy to clean and the food comes out nice and crispy. The baskets are decently sized so you can do large batches. I have one of these at work and one at home. This is a must buy in my opinion ... show more

Our first air fryer. Family suggested we get the big one, so glad we did. Didn't think we'd use it much, lol, that was proven wrong, 3-4 times per week. Quick, crisp, flavorful, super easy to clean. Multifunction, not just air fryer mode. Easy to program, works better than advertised. I was a total skeptic about Ninja appliances but have a blender pro thing with smoothie cups, blender container and food processor container with a blade and dough blade, use it at least once per day for family of three. That's amazing, and this air fryer is amazing too. Made homemade 2 ingredient dough pizza pockets that were so much fun and quick. Homemade potato chips. Baked homemade ravioli. Crisped Brussel sprouts with onion and balsamic. The chicken!... Are you kidding me?! I'm not paid by anyone, I purchased with my own money and I just wanted to encourage others to go for it with the 10qt. It fits just fine on our 4' countertops with cabinets above. It takes up a little space but not that bad, especially since it's used so much. Prefer it to my electric double oven for most things. The shiny chrome-like coating on the basket handles came off after two washes in the dishwasher with the strongest cascade pods, just faded away and now the silver is white plastic...oh well, don't care, it looks fine and the rest of the units features and performance makes that insignificant at best. The 10 qt makes it possible to cook enough for a family of 2-6 in one batch. Just get it. ... show more

This is an amazing machine!! First off, it's huge, so make plenty of room. It has so many different options, I can't wait to try them all. I've had food thru air fryers before, but it always just tasted blah... im a fried girl - i LOVE my fried food - well, this Ninja air fryer has broken all the rules and shattered all those stereotypes. It's amazing!! It has two baskets/crisper, so you can cook 2 food items at once with diff temps and diff cooking times .. and with smart start - they'll both be done at same time. Talk about helping out in the kitchen!! They dont even have to be cooking the same way! I can cook something air fried and roast something else. Air fryer and bake Bake and dehydrated Roast and bake Any combination you want. It was quiet, we even checked a couple times to make sure it was still working. The overall heat seemed to work fine - even though we only made chicken tenders and fries - there weren't any cold or soggy spots, that you get when you microwave them. I can cook a whole chicken and a side in this .. at the same time.. the value for my money isn't even a factor. Its durable, has diff option machines and is going to replace so many other machines for me. The color is sleek, the instructions are clear and concise, it's dishwasher safe, plus for easier cleanup, if you wanted they have disposable liners and silicon liners for sale on amazon or other stores. I knew I'd be happy. This has been in my wishlist forever, but gosh.. I'm so excited to make supper now and even more excited to eat it - knowing it'll do most of the work for me (while making it seem like i spent hours preparing a delicious meal, and also make clean up a breeze. Ninja is definitely the name for small appliances in this house! I have so many other Ninja products either in my wishlist or my cart, waiting for the right price or the right paycheck to add to my already beloved Ninja air fryer!! Awesome air-fryer. Easy to set up and use. Get the liners and save a lot of cleaning and fuss. Caution on the basket sides and bottom being extremely hot after use. Don’t touch them or put them on the counter it will leave a burn mark.

Have had this airfryer for well over a year and its still going strong. I mainly use the airfryer function for many different items frozen foods, nuggets, meats, left overs, fried chicken,etc. The dual cooking function is great when I need extra room, or maybe one side needs more cooking time then the other basket. The baskets fit a lot of food. For a general reference I can easily fit 2 fried chicken thighs and a chicken leg from popeyes in one basket from leftovers and they still turn out crispy and juicy even as leftovers. I have used the probe in the past to make chicken, it was very accurate and the food tasted amazing and it suprisingly does great at making bacon. While like any air fryer it does get very greasy and gross fast but airfryer liners help a ton, and the baskets are fairly easy to clean just be sure to get the nooks and crannies of the basket tray. You can see in my picture how much liners help to soak up any grease and keep the actual baskets cleaner. Overall great products fits well on our counter without taking up too much space, still cooks evenly. The instructions it comes with are clear and consice and the black color with silver trim look great and fit well in our kitchen with other applicances. I cant say much about the other functions since I dont use them often but I have used the dehydrate function and it worked fine for some jerky if you dont have a regular Dehydrator. 10/10 I would buy again. ... show more

Nice product that has exceeded expectations. One thing that sets this apart from other types of counter top gizmos is the ability to find recipes and cooking times, a major problem with other products. Simply go to your favorite search engine (particularly in AI mode) and ask for the time and temp by model (DZ550). Very easy and practical! The fryer is completely oil free, but high heat oils can be brushed on to give a crispy texture. My only frustration with the product is that the non stick coating started coming off as soon as my first use. This is why 4 stars and not the full 5. ... show more
