  • Screw the fries - this is great for Keto! Awesome proteins and veggies
Size: 6 Quart - Window
Previously I had WOOTed a 6qt (maybe still a Chefman) and was learning and liking. That ended up at the cabin. Half because I forgot to packit and half because quick cooking there is nice sometimes. So I was pondering a double basket to say cook a protein and a veggie. I am Keto - so I cannot comment on fries - but I cook a lot of proteins and veggies in this. I cook steaks, burgers, sausage dogs, buns, veggies, etc in this. So don't shy away from an air fryer like I did if you are Keto. These are (no longer) a gimmick and are great and I'm using my oven and outdoor grill less and less. I love the sync-finish button. If you know your times then you'll finish very well. For example hot dogs (more for my son - but hmm think sausage dog and I'm there. One basket 4-6 minutes for the dogs and other basket two minutes for the buns (Yes they come out great!) Sync finish and it all comes out ready to serve. I did notice this version has no actual air input/output vents in the baskets (the bottom is raised - but no air input there - so all air must come from the top. So I don't know how this will do with more than one layer. I am single but I think this would be fine for a couple. For example a 10 oz ribeye fit in the basket and cooked fine (does need flipping) and the veggies on the other side. Enough for two for sure. Notes: I really thought I would strongly miss a knob for time and temp. But (1) Temp is almost *always* 400 ;) and (2) Time, well it starts at 10 minutes and decrements by two. So while I'd still like a knob - I am not hating this like I thought I would. And there is a +2 minute button to tack on the end if needed. This does not have any food presets. Probably for the better as they're often not spot on. But easy to look up and/or I have the Momo & Nashi fridge magnet page tabbed guide (on AZP) You CAN turn the beeping off contrary to some complaints. I'm not sure the liner coating is as durable as my original, more expensive, Chefman 6q I don't - yet - know how this will do with more than a single layer. Hmm. That calls for a basket of wings. I'm confident I'll need to shake/mix - but we'll see (due to only top down air circ. The window is nice - you can see some progress - but I haven't used it enough to see how long a nice clear window lasts or is cleanable reasonably. The "light" is the heating element - so it will go on and off as it heats. So just know there is no constant light. This should be 3 or more inches from the wall. Not critical - but most circulation is from the bottom of the unit (unit's circulation) so I don't want to damage my wallpaper. I really like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0725GYNG6 for this. As a set of two - the unit sets nicely on one - just right. The 2nd lives on top - but when I'm using the unit - it goes in front and so I can pull baskets and deal with them without the hot basket directly on the counter top. Also not bad for drying. Then it goes back on top. I do not buy many Amazon brands as they are often substandard - but these are spot on and economical and as 2 pieces I retain some flex on the counter top. For cleaning I really, really like, https://www.amazon.com/Dawn-Platinum-Powerwash-Starter-Bundle/dp/B082DLGV3F Dawn Powerwash. My dishwasher is good enough to not need it - but it makes really quick spray and hot water hose/rinse immediate clean up of basket very nice. I'm not paid nor received anything. I do like to review things I really like. ... show more

  • Surprisingly Outstanding
Size: 6 Quart - Window
I bought my Chefman dual basket 6 qt air fryer in early July when Amazon had it's Prime day, or whatever it was. I paid $79 for the unit after reading most of the reviews. One thing I noticed in the supplied photos was that most of those pictures were not of this unit. In any event I was a newbie with air fryers. I had checked out more than a dozen of them before selecting this make and model. The very first thing I made in it was sweet potato fries and a battered chicken breast. I have some cheat sheets for an air fryer, but only use them as a general guide. I had no problems at all using the controls, or sync'ing the baskets. The fries didn't turn out as I expected (and haven't 3 other times I tried them) but the chicken was spot on. Since then I've used it at least twice a week for chicken, hamburgers, salmon, more chicken and more salmon. It's worked great for me. It also cleans up very easily. I do the cleaning by hand, tho. I can't imagine wanting any other air fryer. Should this one break, I'll absolutely get another one. ... show more

  • Great Fryer!
Size: 6 Quart - Window
This got delivered to the incorrect address. I contacted customer service and they promised to refund me but never did. I have been with Amazon since 2011 and expected better than them telling me it was delivered when it clearly was not. Then on top of that just to tell me whatever to get me off the chat. However a month later the person who received it found the address and brought it there. I feel lied to by Amazon but also grateful that good people still exist and also not mad about the refund not going through because I got my order eventually. Love the Fryer. Got it because I have celiac disease and prefer to have my needed fried thing gluten free without risk of cross contamination. I also can’t bother to do all that greasy frying at home. Too much of a mess and it is obviously unhealthy. Easy to use and cooks food quickly in my opinion. Clean up is easy but I find if I put the drawers back in I forgot to wash them so I leave them out to cool down so that I can remember to wash them. ... show more

  • Good value, longer cooking times
Size: 6 Quart - Window
Worked fine, it seemed like the smaller volume made cooking take longer for most food compared to the same volume in a single tray. Ours died in a power surge 6 weeks after purchase. It was convenient to have 2 sides to cook separately though.

  • Twice the air frying, making meals easier
Size: 6 Quart - Window
I love, love, love this air fryer! I’m able to cook 2 different things on 2 different temperatures and 2 different times so they are done at the same time making meals easier! 5 stars!

  • It works well
Size: 6 Quart - Window
So far this works great. Doesn't take long to cook your food. I haven't fully started using it. I've only done the short cooking. It gets your food nice and crisp. Only thing is you need to make sure you let it run on short cycle before you cook in it to burn off that taste you get from your 1st cook. Just like when you use a propane grill. It states it in the instructions so make sure you do it. I've also used both sides separately and they both did there own thing and it came out as it should. ... show more

  • I stopped using my oven – faster, easier, and cooks amazing food
Size: 6 Quart - Window
I bought this air fryer oven because I wanted something more practical for everyday cooking without having to use my full-size oven all the time, and honestly, it’s been one of the best purchases I’ve made. Since I got it, I use it almost every day. It cooks much faster, and the food comes out crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside, without needing much oil. It’s been great for saving time and making lighter meals. I love how versatile it is. I’ve made everything from chicken and fries to vegetables, and even reheating food turns out better than using a microwave. The texture and flavor are just better overall. It’s also very easy to use. The controls are simple, and you don’t have to overthink it. Plus, it doesn’t take up too much space and is easy to clean. It may not fully replace a large oven if you’re cooking big portions, but for everyday use, it’s more than enough. If you’re looking for something practical, fast, and that truly improves the way you cook, this is definitely worth it. ... show more

  • Is it Supposed To Smoke? Is it Supposed To Smoke?
Size: 6 Quart - Window
There are a lot of pros and cons with this air fryer but I won't go over all of them since this already has so many reviews. But I will say I appreciate the see-through window feature and how easy it is to clean. It also doesn't take up a ton of counter space. The food cooks well enough but nothing comes out super crispy and I have to check on it often. The notification timer to check it halfway through stopped working after the third use. The price was right but I didn't realize the functions would be so limited. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting and way more basic than I need. It's essentially on-off, temperature up/down, and a timer. It has a few more bells & whistles like adding 2 minutes and a high fry option that's only optional around the two minutes remaining mark and sync baskets, which doesn't always sync perfectly. All of that is fine if you're looking for something uncomplicated. What I don't love is the limitation with the cooking options and presets for broil, bake, etc. I've had use Ninja and I find that it's way more functional and versatile, especially when I don't want to research the cooking temperature for everything. The unit itself doesn't seem that solid or durable. It's very lightweight and the baskets feel somewhat thin and flimsy. I'm not super rough on my appliances so that isn't much of an issue. But my main qualm is the amount of condensation that builds up and smoke that comes out from it when it's in operation. This is concerning and nothing I've experienced with previous air fryers. So while this may be a good option for a newbie, it's not something I trust will last very long, especially with daily use. ... show more
