  • Great pump kit for the value
Size: 660 GPH
This pump kit works well for what the cost of it is. Set up was easy and the ability to set up 3 pumps on one controller is a very nice feature. The remote control set up makes it easy to click a single button at feeding time to reduce the pumps flow for an easier feeding session. The only reason that I gave it a 4 star rating instead of 5 is because I feel the pumps are a bit underpowered for what they claim to flow. Additionally, I feel like one of my pumps has already become weaker after a short couple of months of running. I originally had it set at 50% power to create surface agitation and was able to see a disturbance on the surface. Now, there is barely any movement up there even if I turn the flow rate to 100% I can hardly notice anything. However, for an entry level pump kit that is pretty affordable, I would still recommend this setup for smaller tanks. Mine is a 40 gallon, somewhat taller tank which is why I got a pump kit for a freshwater setup to help with water circulation. *10/10/2020 Updating to 5 stars* The pre-filter covers were clogged. I took them off and it is back to full flow. Probably just going to leave them off for now. ... show more

  • Update - NOT a Solid Product
Size: 2100 GPH
Update: 1/29/2023 Purchased in March 2022, so not even a year old yet, both original pumps died (August 2022), replacements sent (October 2022) and now they're both dead as of January 2023. Also, the IR sensor/remote failed in August 2022. Customer support had been great up to this point, but they are not responding to my requests for help now that the 2nd set of pumps has failed. To be precise, the pumps that have failed were all used as wave pumps. So maybe the wave function is what causes them to fail prematurely. Specifically, they are failing in the sense where it seems the motor coils are out of sync and instead of spinning, the rotor locks in place. In any case, Current-USA has not engaged with me about this most recent issue. To put it all into perspective, a plain, brandless, made-in-China wave pump in my sump is still running strong which was given to me used well before I purchased this product. I might have cleaned that thing every 3 months whereas the Current-USA pumps were cleaned bi-weekly, according to their instructions. I'll attempt to reach out to Current-USA to resolve this issue and will update accordingly. Original Review: A little on the pricey side, but going cheap in this hobby is often a fatal mistake. Wave Pumps are outstanding and very easy to clean. The controller is surprisingly robust, but is only controllable by the remote, which can be a problem. My remote failed but they promptly sent me a replacement. Super happy with their customer service! I wish there was a hardwired controller that could use one of the two spare communications ports, but other than that, I am completely satisfied with this product and am now a fan of current-usa products. ... show more

  • CURRENT Dual eFlux Aquarium Wave Pumps Review
Size: 1050 GPH
I recently upgraded my reef tank's water circulation with the CURRENT Dual eFlux Wave Pumps (1050 gph) and have been impressed with their performance. Pros: Powerful Flow: These pumps provide a significant boost in water movement, ensuring that every corner of my aquarium is well-circulated. Customizable Flow Patterns: The multiple flow modes (wave, pulse, surge, stream, feed) and adjustable intensity allow me to create the perfect environment for my corals and fish. Wireless Control: The included remote makes it easy to adjust the flow patterns and intensity without having to reach into the tank. Quiet Operation: The pumps operate surprisingly quietly, even at higher intensities. Cons: Learning Curve: Programming the pumps takes a bit of getting used to, but the instructions are clear and there are plenty of online resources available. Price: The pumps are a bit pricey, but the performance and features justify the cost for serious reef hobbyists. Overall: The CURRENT Dual eFlux Wave Pumps are a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to enhance the water circulation and overall health of their reef aquarium. While there is a slight learning curve and the price point is higher, the powerful flow, customizable flow patterns, wireless control, and quiet operation make these pumps a valuable addition to any reef tank setup. Additional Notes: These pumps are suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. The 1050 gph flow rate is ideal for aquariums up to 175 gallons. The pumps come with a one-year warranty. I hope this review is helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions. ... show more

  • Simple setup but the 660 seems a little weak for my JBJ 28G Cube
Size: 660 GPH
As the headline states I am wishing I had gotten the next model up as these are very easy to control and instead of running these maxed out I could have run the next model at a low setting. But these seem to be very well made, setup is simple and they work as advertised.

  • NOISY
Size: 1050 GPH
Original purchased 2 in June 2021. They worked great but one failed in 13 months. I was satisfied enough to buy another pair (figured I’d have a spare.) I put both new ones in. One was great, the other so loud you could hear it in the next room. I contacted Current USA and customer service promptly sent a replacement. It was just as loud. I submitted a replace/return request to Amazon. Replacement set came today. BOTH powerheads are loud, one the loudest yet. So, out of 5, I have 1 that is good. Mfg & quality control at Current USA has gone to crap. ... show more

  • So good I bought a third pump and then a complete second set
Size: 1050 GPH
I already have a set of these that I have in my 66 gallon reef tank. They are great and the flexibility to move water is great. I wasn't getting enough movement and I wanted to do some "surging" so: - I bought a second set. A few months back I added a third pump to my first set. The only issue that didn't rate lowering the rating was one of the heads arrived without the outside magnet. After contacting them I got a not only the magnet but the whole mounting bracket (inside and out). MAgnet came quickly. Thanks. ... show more
