  • Good little incubator.
Size: 1 Pack Style: Still Air
Hatched rate was great, little finicky to get the temp set just right. But still a great product.

  • Buyer beware.
Size: 1 Pack Style: Digital Circulated Air
The item arrived on time with a slightly damaged box but incubator was fine. I found the build quality typical of over priced China crap. At first it seemed to work ok as it did heat up. The stench of burnt Styrofoam started to emit from the unit. Unplugged and inspected I found nothing wrong. Plugged back in and let it run for 6 hours. The control panel read a full 10 degrees warmer than a glass thermometer I used to verify. 2 hours later the temp difference was still evident. I set the controller to 110 degrees and with in a few hours it was reading 101 degrees on the thermometer. After 12 hours, I had the temperature set point at 108 to maintain 100 degrees in the box with a flashing warning light of over temperature. Through out the test process, the humidity levels was off by up 7% according to a hydrometer that i have used for years. I may have just gotten a defective unit but this is becoming all to frequent from companies selling overpriced China crap. I will be sending it back for a refund. ... show more

  • This is a really great incubator. This was our first time incubating eggs ...

This is a really great incubator. This was our first time incubating eggs and I read all kinds of reviews everywhere. This one seemed to have the best reviews (or at least the least bad reviews!) and it really did not disappoint for the price! However, the temperature and humidity readers can be very finicky sometimes. We left one of the red plugs in the lid for most of the incubation process and took them both out during hatches. Leaving one in really helped stabilize the humidity, as well as putting a slightly damp cloth in the bottom of it instead of trying to just use straight water. I also highly suggest getting a second thermometer that has humidity on it as well (I got a really nice one for $10 at Walmart). We had great success with our hatches and had around 35-40 duck eggs in this thing at one point! It is a great size and a really great product. I also suggest getting something to lay down on the bottom of the incubator where the eggs will be sitting. It is just a metal tray, so I purchased a roll of the foam kitchen drawer liner material from Walmart as well. That helped them to not roll around and I felt it also helped them from possibly cracking against the metal tray. My last piece of advice is make sure all your eggs are going to hatch at or around the same time... we had our eggs hatching at different days for about 2-3 weeks, and it became extremely dirty and smelly inside the incubator, but we weren't able to clean it until they all finished hatching. It is just a Styrofoam incubator, so hopefully it will come clean easily! I highly recommend this product! And if it is your first time incubating ducks/chickens/etc., join the online forum BackYardChickens to get even more advice on incubating and hatching! ... show more

  • Works fine, but keep an eye on the temp
Size: 1 Pack Style: LCD Display Still Air
My husband and I hatch our own chicken, duck, and turkey eggs. We've been using a smaller type of incubator like this one Magicfly Digital Mini Semi Automatic Egg Incubator 10 Eggs Poultry Hatcher for Chickens Ducks Goose Birds They're sold under a variety of brand names and they've worked wonderfully for us. The only problem is that they're relatively small for the turkey and duck eggs. The Farm Innovators incubator solved that problem. We have 13 turkey eggs incubating right now and there's plenty of room to spare (I think this incubator could easily hold two dozen of these larger eggs). My only problem with this incubator is it's inability to hold the temperature if the room temperature isn't controlled. We live in an old farmhouse and only heat the rooms we use. We keep the incubators in the library, which we don't heat or use much. That's never been a problem with the other incubators, but when the temperature dipped a bit in the room (probably no lower than 65 degrees Fahrenheit), the Farm Innovators incubator couldn't maintain the proper temperature. We put it in our heated bathroom and it's doing fine. If you're planning to use your incubator in a heated house, this one will work for you. If you plan to keep it in an unheated space, like a barn, be sure to keep a close eye on it. I also recommend keeping a second thermometer, like this one Digital Thermometer Hygrometer Temperature and Humidity Display with 3.3 inch LCD for Household Office Gym Kitchen etc MIKIZ (1 Pack), in the incubator so you can verify the temperature and humidity. ... show more
