I’m not sure where to start. I replaced a toaster oven with a too-big footprint. This new one has several advantages: 1. the toast isn’t always burned, and if it were I could easily adjust the problem away. 2. The air fryer is big, and the basket and tray are dishwasherable. 3. It is preprogrammed for a wide variety of foods, yet is also totally adjustable. So, is there something to complain about? The regular tray used for things other than air frying is not dishwasherable. Yes, I’m a bit OCD about wanting to put everything except my wooden cutting boards in the dishwasher. Also, the clock is now wrong, and the instructions for setting the clock don't seem to work. ... show more

I have only used this a couple times so I am withholding judgement. For example, the selection knobs feel flimsy and cheap. I am waiting for them to fall off. Also, the oven has a cooling fan which runs for a period of time after cooking is complete. When you open the door to remove cooked items are you supposed to leave it open, or close it when the fan runs. If you leave it open the displays start flashing. I baked some panko chicken breasts and French fries at the same same temp and time per instructions. Chicken was perfect, fries were burned. I should have taken them out earlier. ... show more

Bought the TOA-95 about a month ago. It replaced a Breville toaster about 10yrs old. I have been putting to the test for a month now. I must say that so far this is an outstanding product. It does everything great, even the air fryer. I’m the guy who believes everything must be deep fat fried and I still do, but, the air fryer is great and those things I’ve air fried have all been excellant. The quirk. The temp runs hotter than it says. I’ve burned biscuits couple times. I’ve now adjusted temp lower on biscuits and they came out fine. There is a bit of a learning curve but nothing that can’t be easily overcome. I highly recommend this cooker. ... show more

In the first few days I cooked toast, frozen waffles, and tacos. and used it to air fry french fries from scratch, breaded fish patties for sandwiches, chimichangas, and hard-boiled eggs. I had no previous experience with air frying, and I cannot believe how easy this to use, and how easy it is to clean. I keep a sheet of foil on the bottom of the pan, which helps to keep the pan clean, and most often even the foil wipes clean, and is good for many uses. Do not put foil or anything on the crumb tray though. It did take me 3 tries to get my toast the way I like, but it was easy to adjust the settings to make it right for me. It makes great toast, and everything else has cooked great on my first attempt. It is a powerful convection toaster oven, and air fryer with many options to choose from. Please read the manual! The Manual is very good, and you can also download it from the Cuisinart website. Like any new appliance, it takes several times of using the dials and buttons, before it starts to feel normal, and you understand how they all work. Then you can adjust settings to your liking with ease. This is a big improvement from the Breville Smart Oven that I bought. The fan in it went out after 7 years. It was one of the best toaster ovens available when I bought it, but after 7 years of newer technology, it had nowhere near the cooking potential, or quality of this Cuisinart. I don't know why this was so hard to find, as it is not in any of our local stores. Shame on them. However, the box is quite large, and would require a lot of shelf space.     • Control knob malfunction with very light use at less than 2 years

This has been a very lightly and gently used machine, and now at less than 2 years old (I noticed beginning of problem a couple of months ago), the digital control knob is seriously malfunctioning. There are several other reviews defining the exact same problem. It jumps around on the type of heating you want to do and is extremely hard to get to the temperature you want. I haven’t contacted the company yet, and think it is still in warranty. Will update what happens after that. Also, the thing runs hot, so I usually set the temperature about 50 degrees lower than instructions and for a shorter time. - It does cook quickly, which can be a plus. However, not particularly happy with it - buyer beware. Update 3/21/2024: My machine was within the 3 year limited warranty, and Cuisinart is sending me a new one. I’m happy that this was relatively easy, so will increase star rating to 3. We will see if the new one holds up, but will say that I am skeptical. In future, I would probably purchase a drawer-model airfryer rather than this type, because I think it would be easier to keep clean. ... show more
